Human Resource Management Project

First Rough Draft

I/ Introduction

Duduli has a total of five different divisions including: HR, Accountant, Kitchen, Restaurant and
Marketing department. Each units has its own function. There are three people in HR, around
three people in the accounting department, five people in the kitchen including four chef
assistants and one head chef and nearly 20 service staffs including a restaurant manager. Also,
there is one person in marketing department.

First of all, in Human Resource Department, their missions are planning recruiting, training and
developing human resources periodically, quarterly and monthly. They also develop a career
development program for employees and promotion policies and replacing personnel, develop
remuneration regulations, measures to encourage to stimulate employees to work, implement
regimes for employees. Besides, they have to organize and implement administrative tasks
according to the functions and tasks and at the request of the Board of Directors and develop
regulations and plans related to the use of assets and equipment of the company. Moreover, the
Human Resource manager have abilities to develop plans and organize, supervise the
implementation of security, safety, occupational safety and fire prevention as well as
researching, drafting and submitting for approval the applicable regulations in the Company and
building the organizational structure of the company. They also propose the organizational
structure and operating apparatus of the Company. Secondly, HR Executive also has some
missions to do such as performing salary or bonus calculation and welfare regimes for
employees, managing permission days and employee records, monitoring probationary period,
carrying out procedures for signing labor contracts. Furthermore, they explain and advise
employees about issues related to regimes and policies when requested and regularly understand
and update the provisions of the law related to regimes and policies to promptly supplement and
amend the regime and policies of the company in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Furthermore, the company shows how they connect Human Resource practices with company
vision, organizational goals and value with the desire to become a leading company in F&B in
Da Nang, the company has a strategy of recruiting senior general staff for management positions
such as marketing manager, human resource manager, chief accountant, head chef, restaurant
supervisor, etc. Also, they want to give employees a comfortable and wonderful working
environment, by designing an open-oriented restaurant space with modern furniture, colorful
images to create more dynamic staff, create closeness friendly among employees. At the same
time, set up a clear and fair wage system with all benefits and benefits for employees. During
working in Duduli Ltd Co, I have gain some opportunities for improving some sections as soon
as possible such as Strategic Human Resource Management, Planning and Staffing Needs,
Recruitment and Selection, Training and Performance Review and Compensation and Benefits.
At the beginning of Strategic Human Resource Management, their job is to create a recruitment
plan for the company, set goals to strive for in the present and future, identify future human
resource needs and recruit employees. Not only arranging work for employees but they also
implement remuneration policies, evaluate the results of activities, develop potential human
resources and create a favorable working environment in Duduli Ltd Co. However, their staffing
is atill weak, there are few employees with leadership skills or managing a large group so that
there is an opportunity to improve which is recruiting senior general staff for management
positions with multi-tasking skills and leadership skills. Second section is Planning and Staffing
Needs. At that time, they are recruiting a number of employees for some departments that are
still available wtih high-profile skills suitable to the professional working environment, Along
with responsibility with assigned work and serious, hard working and flexible attitude in
handling situations. However, some employees have not been trained properly or there is a lack
of soft skills so that the company will plan to open a soft skills training course for them to
improve these skills such as communication skills with customers, teamwork, leadership,
problem solving, making decisions when doing certain things, as well as organizational behavior.
Following that is recruitment and selection which are recruiting employees through social media,
minimizing time spent interviewing under under-quanlified applicants, communicating to current
and future employees exactly what will be expected of them. Beside, they have to identifying the
jobs vacancy, analyza job requirements, review applicatios and select the right candidate for their
restaurants. However, they still have mistakes when recruiting employees which have bad
attitude and lack of responsibilities so that they should avoid it by hiring people who are
comfortable with the team and culture and motivated to perform well in the role. Next step will
be training and reviewing performance of employees which are evaluating the performance of
employees to create development opportunities for employees. At the same time, to improve the
performance management system, they will collect employee performance data from one-on-one,
goal, feedback, recognition in one place and review the performance management process helps
companies eliminate new deviations. But this company often makes a mistake because they are
not aware of their career interests or their strengths in time so they need to hold a regular
exchange of performance to capture what employees want to achieve in the future. Last but not
the least, their employees are still lack of teamwork skills when working with other people and
feeling bored during working there for a long time with low salary so that it is necessary to have
a clear salary distribution system and all types of social benefits for employees. Throughout the
process of working in a restaurant, the company must give employees some opportunities to
improve some of their skills that may help their position. For example, organize a number of
product promotion events for employees who work in the event organizer so they can fully
utilize their skills and creativity as well as work experience. In addition, the company should
organize a tour to some F&B companies or open training sessions to train some teamwork skills
or leadership for management, including creating a playground for them to take a break after a
series of hard working time, therefore, they can feel comfortable when working there. Besides,
Duduli Co should improve some issues like increasing wages for overtime employees and
supporting transportation costs for employees far away from home, from which they will feel
treated equally.

In conclusion, when doing internship at Duduli Ltd Co, I have learned so many things about
how they operate the company, how they set up a strategy for human resource management, how
they can find and recruit highly professional staff suitable for the work environment of their
restaurant. I also know more about policies to treat employees such as increasing salaries for
employees who work overtime, support travel expenses and create working culture, etc.
Hopefully in the coming months, I can learn many new things from this internship.

II/ Research about improving opportunities of Duduli


At the beginning, as a leader of a company, I should recruit senior general staff for management
positions with multi-tasking skills and leadership skills for saving money on hiring many people
with a few soft skills. Nowadays, modern managers at the same time take on many important
roles such as motivating employees, resolving internal conflicts and creating cohesion, new
employee onboarding, creating creative ideas, etc. To help employees improve their productivity
and retain the best employees for the organization, in addition to spreading, encouraging and
motivating employees to help them work at the highest possible productivity, the manager must
also improve leadership, create a healthy working environment, listen and understand the needs
of each individual.
Secondly, cooperating with the team means not only collaborative but also good leadership when
there is a right time. Having good communication skills are strengths for anyone at work because
communication is a means to allow you to build a bridge with your colleagues, convince others
to accept your opinions and express your needs. Also, creativity and smart thinking are
appreciated at any job. Even the most technical work requires the ability to think out of the
framework. Not only to respond to criticism reflects a lot about your willingness to improve, but
the ability is also being able to evaluate and constructively comment on other people's work is
equally important. Creativity plays a huge role in promoting as it makes you brave enough to
pursue an idea that is stuck in thinking and ultimately you overcome it and lead others in the
same direction to achieve a common goal, and a good leader is someone who can lead others
with his example.

Hiring people who are comfortable with the team and culture and motivated to perform well in
the role will motivate each employee to work more effectively. There will be too rigid processes
in the company that will stifle the creativity of the employees and lead them to neglect their work
so someone will need so that the managers can keep employees motivated by giving them a
sense of belonging. And when employee feels that they are member of the organization and have
a working relationship with others who will improve their work sense and responsibility.
Besides, leaders must embrace all of their employees when you understand the pros and cons of
the employees from which you will come up with solutions to develop strengths and improve
those weaknesses.

This company often makes some mistakes because they are not aware of their career interest and
their strengths in time so that they have to hold a regular exchange of performance to capture
what employees want to achieve in the future, have a clear salary distribution system and all
types of social benefits for employees, collect employee performance data from one-on-one,
goal, feedback, recognition in one place and review the performance management process helps
companies eliminate new deviations. There are many businesses facing human resource
shortages because they do not have fair reward and penalty policies for all employees, so
considering themselves as leaders, should consider to make rules reasoning to avoid
disagreements between employees. Wages have a very important role in employee welfare. They
will work most effectively when they receive a salary worthy of the effort they spend. Therefore,
in order to be able to cooperate in a long term, businesses should pay attention to set the income
levels that best suit the capabilities and contributions of the employees. Moreover, the biggest
motivation of employees is the desire to improve by themselves. Consecutive difficulties that
arise during the work process will motivate them to think and act more quickly and flexibly.

In an organization, work organization skills are skills that require team workers to do. This skill
is the task of the team leader, the team leader must be able to assign tasks and solve problems
arising in the group, ensuring the evenness among the members to avoid discrimination at work
and not being scrutinized for any reason. Any words of encouragement and praise make the
members feel that their efforts are appreciated thereby promoting their own contributions.

However, when working alone, the result is not good then you will be the one taking all
responsibilities. But when it was done in a group, it was different. If you do not complete the
task on time, then you are affecting the group, then the merits of those who try to do well are
denied all, because the end result is a measure of public performance work, not just part of the
job is completed. Furthermore, respecting and helping each other is also one of the essentials in
an organization. In addition to work, you should organize a picnic for everyone to get to know
each other better, learn more about yourself and develop things that are not good. Or organize a
team building program to train your ability to work in groups and bring people together. For
those of you who work far from your workplace, the company should also fund a travel or wage
increase in order that they feel they are treated fairly with others. In conclusion, these are
explanation for their improvement opportunities and how DuDuLi Co. should think about the
solutions.
III/ Solutions for some problems in the company
About Strategic Human Resource Management, their weak staffing need and have lack of
employee with leadership and multi-tasking skills in order that they should recruit senior general
staff for management positions with multi-tasking skills and leadership skills. However, about
Planing and Staffing Needs, some employees have not been trained properly or there is a lack of
soft skills so that the company will plan to open a soft skills training course for them to improve
these skills such as communication skills with customers, teamwork, leadership, problem
solving, making decisions when doing certain things, as well as organizational behavior.

IV/ The values of DuDuLi Ltd Co.
As I have told from the beginning, this company has some opportunities and mistakes to fix and
move on in the future. Beside that is the value of a F&B company which including eight factors
such as:

2. Boldness: Staffs always create new things
3. Honesty: Our employees are really honest and polite to the customers all the time
4. Trust: People trust each other and support each other in their work
5. Leadership: Leading effective work groups according to the order of a restaurant

7. Quality: Serve customer with high-quality food and professional services
8. Teamwork: We work together to meet the needs of our customers and to help our
company get more profits.

VI/ Conclusion
In conclusion, there are five factors including Strategic Human Resource Management, Planing
and Staffing Needs, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Reviewing performance of
employees and Compensation & Benefits. Each factors have their own objectives and
opportunities for improving when having mistakes. At the same time, they have different
advantages and disadvantages for overcoming problems in their company and restaurants. So,
that is the reason why I learned those features to evaluate the effectiveness of an organization,
identify improvement opportunities in an organization and plan for the implemention of HRM
improvements.
