INTRODUCTION

Take a walk or cycle to the countryside and you’ll

see that there are farmers working all day and every
day. They’ll be on those fields under the scorching sun
in summers and coldest evenings of winters.

Our species has been engaged in agriculture for

about 10,000 years, and methods have been modified to
suit human preferences and needs. Agriculture today,
for instance, is mostly focused on maximizing both
productivity and profit. This is due to the
agricultural industrialization of the 20th century,
which drastically altered agricultural activities and
the relationships between agriculture and our culture.
(Houghton, 1994)

This is because farm is their bread and butter.

They work hard to keep it in the best state and they
make that happen with sustainable farming practices.
Since the backbone of the economy is Agriculture we
must show importance to the efforts of the farmers in
our society.

Agriculture has been practiced by Filipinos since

ancient time. Practically speaking, it refers to the
process of producing crops that will feed the people
and help them survive. Agriculture does not pertain to
a single method alone; there are as well evolutions and
innovations that this method of food production has
undergo.

Agriculture is considered the backbone of the

Philippine economy because it employs about 40 percent
of Filipino workers. Unfortunately, it only contributes
an average of 20 percent to the Gross Domestic Product.

For the longest time, government neglect of the sector

has worsened the poverty situation in rural areas. We
need to review our agriculture policies. The sector’s
development is critically important to improving our
food security. To our politicians, we say: Ignore
Filipino farmers at your own peril.

Organic farming makes use of the natural process of

food production – from proper soil preparation,
planting or sowing of crops, plant care management,
harvest and post-harvest management. Organic farmers
make do with natural fertilizers like manure, compost,
and residues instead of purchasing commercial
fertilizers.
Some benefits of organic farming include the
prevention of soil erosion which is usually caused by
the lack of nutrients in the soils, and empowering
farmers to come up with their own natural production
methods. On the other hand, some drawbacks raised by
critics involve food and water contamination, poor
quality of food, and even depletion of natural
resources.
Some strategies are being evaluated and conducted
to determine if this farming practice can offer the
farmers to produce more than what they need for
economic purposes.
With the advent of technology through continuous
research, there now exist the modern agriculture
practice. This type of agriculture greatly relies on
engineering and technology.

question among the selected respondents using a
purposive sampling. The researcher asking question
about the background of the respondents.
Next, to answer the second question, the researcher
float series of questions to the respondents to collect
the neseccary data for further analysis of the study.
And to determined the best and effectice tools to have
a high yield of field.
Lastly, to answer the last question. The farmers
also ask through questionare to determined the
alternative ways to sustain the high yield despite of

the lack of availability of the tools and machineries

in order to cope to the modern tools and equipment. It
can also help the other farmers and institution to
educate to the different alternative ways and technique
in sustaining high yields despite of the availability
of the materials.

FINDINGS

18). The successful implementation of digital technology into the curriculum relies
heavily on the readiness of the teacher (Singh & Chan, 2014). Hence, this study found in
important to the teachers attend to more trainings and workshop about blended learning which is
a promising direction in education.
