FOOD HEROES PHOTO CONTEST

IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS
 
IRR 1.0      RATIONALE
Food Heroes Photo Contest has been designed to create an avenue for
Centralians to flaunt and pay tribute to our Food Heroes most
especially in this time of a pandemic while showcasing talents in the
field of photography. Its purpose is to educate, commemorate and
inspire as our Food Heroes remain steadfast despite the challenges
brought by global hunger, climate crisis, and CoVID-19.
 

IRR 2.0      QUALIFICATIONS

IRR 2.1 Each course and year are required to have at least one (1) entry.
IRR 2.2     There shall only be only one (1) entry per student in each course and
year.
IRR 2.3      The student must be a bonafide student of Central Philippine
University – College of Agriculture, Resources, and Environmental
Sciences for the first semester School Year 2021-2022.
 

IRR 3.0      CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS

IRR 3.1      Entries must not have been submitted to any photography contest
prior to this one.
IRR 3.2 Participants are permitted to use any gadget or type of camera in
taking the photo.
IRR 3.3 Digital manipulation is not allowed. Enhancements must be limited to
basic post-processing such as adjustments of contrast, minimal color-
balancing, sharpening, cropping, dodging, and burning.
IRR 3.4 There shall be a maximum of 150 words description or caption for the
photo taken.
IRR 3.5 Participants should fill out the registration form provided by the
committee on or before November 2, 2021, 10:00 P.M.
 
 
IRR 4.0      IMAGE FORMAT AND SUBMISSION PROCESS
IRR 4.1      Entries will be submitted to the Google Drive prepared by the
committee up until November 2, 2021, 10:00 P.M.
IRR 4.2    Entries submitted cannot be withdrawn from the competition for
minor changes.
IRR 4.3      Participants should strictly follow the image format and in uploading
files to the drive:
IRR 4.3.1 File Folder: Food Heroes Photo Contest > your respective Course and
Year
File Name (Photo Title_Lastname)
IRR 4.3.1.1 Photo should be in a .JPEG or .PNG format.
IRR 4.3.2 File Folder: Food Heroes Photo Contest > Caption
File Name (Photo Title_Lastname)
IRR 4.3.2.1 Description or caption should be in a .PDF format.
IRR 4.4      The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

IRR 5.0      PHOTO RIGHTS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RULES AND

REGULATIONS
IRR 5.1 By signing the entry form, and approved by the participants and
committee, Photographers certify that they possess all the rights
pertaining to their photo/s and exempt the committee from third-party
claims.
IRR 5.2 Photo rights of the submitted photos for the competition belong to the
photographer. The committee, however, requires, screening for
checking. The submitted copy belongs to the committee and shall not
be released to any individual or institution.

IRR 6.0 GENERAL CRITERIA

Relevance to the Theme 40%
Do the photo and intention stay focused on the
theme?
Creativity, Originality, and Uniqueness 30%
Is the entry original? Is the subject appropriately used
to deliver the message in a creative way?
Composition 20%
Is the subject pleasingly selected and arranged within
the frame?
Visual Impact (Online Vote) 10%
*2 points in every heart reactions, 1 for the rest of
reactions.
