1- The steel shall be made by the open-hearth, basic-oxygen, or electric-furnace process and
shall be fully killed as per specification SA 105 section (4) & SA 961 (5)
2- Forging material shall be normalized. – Not applicable
3- Technical requirement shall be complying with B16.11, Edition 2016.
4- Half Coupling & plug dimension must be in accordance with B16.11, Edition 2016.
5- Threaded shall be as per ASME B16.11, Edition 2016, Section (6.)
6- Hydrotest requirement as per specification SA 105 section (8).

9- Heat Treatment requirement as per specification SA 105 section (5).
10- Certified Test Reports as per specification SA 105 section (12).
11- Vendor shall furnish mill test report in accordance with EN 10204-3.1. Including
chemical, mechanical requirements & heat treatment. Code edition to be indicated on the
certificates.
12- Repair by welding on Coupling/Plugs and parent metal is not permitted.
