SYSTEM CLIENT – GRANADA

The team main purpose of the proposed system is to develop a web and mobile
platform for FEU Institute of Technology’s SADU in managing tournaments with the
objective to adapt to the needs of the organization in terms of tournament
customizations, calculations, data collection and analyses. →next slide

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY – TUMALIUAN

Tournament, as we know it traditionally, is a series of competitions between a few
participants – individual or team, each vying for a specific goal. It is often associated
with the field of competitive sports and eSports as it serves as the common format
in determining the overall winner. The most common type of tournaments includes
single-elimination, double-elimination, and round robin. In terms of competitive
matchmaking, it is commonly perceived as the process of connecting an individual
to form a group or team to compete for a certain objective. Most eSports games
utilize different matchmaking algorithms in connecting different players, skill-
based for example. Matchmaking is considered as one of the most important
features in multiplayer video games as it serves as a key factor in winning team-
based games. Tournament and matchmaking somehow relate in connecting
various teams and individuals for a competitive matchup. →next slide

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY – PAYOD

The study aims to develop a web and mobile tournament management platform with a team

matchmaking system for SADU (Student Activities and Development Unit) specialized for

sports and eSports competitions.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
The goal of the proposed system is to develop a multifunctional tournament

management system that could adapt to the utilization and management of

sports and eSports tournament activities as specified by the client. The following

are the specific objectives of the study:

a. To develop a web and mobile tournament management platform

that could be utilized by the organization SADU.

b. To include analytics in the system

▪ The analytical data could include the number of participants,

what course/program participates more on a certain

tournament, population of students, and the likes. This is to

serve as a statistical reference and to contribute to the analysis

in terms of controlling expenses.

c. To provide various tournament formats (e.g., single elimination,

double elimination, round robin) that the user can select upon

hosting a tournament.

d. To provide automations in handling statistical data and advance

computations on matches.

e. To create a team matchmaking system for individuals looking for a

team.

▪ The user can build and edit their own user profile.

▪ The data in this profile will be used in the matchmaking

functionality.

▪ The user can match and form a party with an individual or a

group based on his/her preference.

f. To develop a newsfeed function where the host can stream and

provide updates to the viewers.

▪ The spectators can view and interact with the tournament

through the newsfeed module.

g. To evaluate the system and provide analysis to its overall impact in

terms of efficiency, functionality, maintainability, and usability.

SUMMARY OF RESULT – GRANADA

The following tables and figures in this section were the summary of results from
the test case and survey questionnaire for the proposed system, MatchApp: A
Sports and eSports Tournament Management App with Matchmaking System. The
test case we’re executed into three phases namely, Test#1, Test#2, and Test#3
being conducted repeatedly to achieve the target result and also to examine the
consistency of the app. The survey results are the tallied evaluation response from
the chosen respondents of the project with regards to the functionality, usability,
reliability, performance, and security.

CONCLUSION – TUMALIUAN
This section gives you the opportunity to discuss the meaning of your results
beyond what they mean statistically; that is, you interpret the findings and indicate
what can be concluded from them. In your discussion, indicate whether the results
confirm, totally or in part, your original expectations or predictions. For each
objective, indicate whether it was supported and why. Discuss any limitations
inherent and implications.
