Koru Art:

The koru is the Maori name given

to the new unfurling fern frond
and symbolizes new life, growth,
strength and peace. It is an
integral symbol in Maori carving
and tattoos.

Presentation:

Assign students (in group) to do

an oral presentation about:
- NZ monuments
- NZ animals
- Moari Tribe
- NZ regions
- NZ culture
- NZ food
 Build New Zealand: Jigzaw puzzle

- cut out each region piece of NZ

and assemble.
- cut out each label (names of the
regions) and locate it on the map.
- paste the cut out NZ map puzzle
on an A4 paper with the label for
each region.
