I have always loved attending this 1st ever Division Research Summit after this
pandemic hit the world. Attending in this provide opportunities for us researchers to
extend network with fellow researchers and most especially with the observers. In
addition, this activity provides platform to benchmark the best strategies, methods
and innovation in education, governance and so on. As neophyte in this venture, I am
thrilled to share our hard work and effort in the study that we have conducted.

The Schools Division of Palawan released Division Memo No. ___ s. 2022
entitled 2022 Division Research Summit which was held on July 26-27, 2022 at A &
A Hotel, Puerto Princesa City. On Day 0, we, the participants arrived at the venue at
exactly 2:00 in the afternoon. We went to the registration area for the registration of
the researchers and observers.

On July 26, which is the Day 1, I went earlier at the venue. The program
started with an opening program. Few minutes after, the opening program has
started. It starts with a doxology, followed by singing of Philippine National Anthem
and Palawan March. Mam Felina P. Padrones, our SGOD Chief, welcomed all the
participants and quoted “You are chosen to the chosen one.” She further discussed to
us that we should strictly follow the IATF Protocol and ended her statement that we
must enjoy while doing the activity for 2-days.

Sir Arnaldo G Ventura, our OIC ASDS reminded us to put a little extra in an
ordinary thing to be extraordinary. He quoted “As researchers, we must put extra
values and becaome part of transformation through research.” .He also point out the
importance of attending this kind of activity for personal and professional growth.

Afterwards, Mam Gloria M. Ruiz, the Chief Policy Planning of the Region,
expressed her gratitude to the researchers as the Division of Palawan produces
numerous researches that are innovative and unique.

Action research presenters from Rio Tuba National High School presented
their output as they are awarded as the best action research during the research
colloquium. Other presenters presented their basic research in the person of Mam
Sally Gadiano and Mam Necio as they are awarded as the best basic research. Sir
Nenito J. Basaya, now then presented the mechanics of the summit.

The summit proper follows after the opening program. 5 rooms were
designated for different researchers and observers. The summit finally started at 1:00
o`clock in the afternoon. It was the most exciting part of the summit wherein we
shared our output with the observers and some key personnel of the department. I
have come to realized that as presenters, our job is to convince the observers and
panelists that our study is relevant and significant in this time of pandemic. A lot of
observers convey positive responses by clarifying, and asking, with the result of our
study. At exactly 5:00 the 1st day of summit has finally done.

On 2 nd day, we prepared the brochures and pamphlets for further

dissemination of the result of the study. We were tasked to still continue presenting
until 12:00 noon. The same experienced goes by, thrilled, fulfilled and positive.

The closing program has started at 2:30 in the afternoon. The awarding of
certificated and announcement of winners happened during the closing program.

Overall, I must say that I really impressed with myself by joining in this kind
of venture. It brought me with new experienced, meeting brilliant people, able to
learned from other researchers and developed some productive relationship with
myself. This is just the beginning of a new and systematic me by joining the regional
research summit this year.
