After adjustment, measure the densities, and then repeat adjustment until all the densities are
within the acceptable ranges.
Indicate the measurement results on a datasheet in both numerical and graphical format.

 Use the "cubic spline" interpolation mode at the printer.

 The images displayed on the monitor are subject to smoothing at the monitor
screen and so the film images seem sharper. If the printer incorporates spatial
frequency processing, use smoothing mode.
 With printers that use thermal film, such as the Fuji DryPix 1000 and 3000,
accurate measurement is not possible with a standard density meter. Ask a
representative of the manufacturer to perform measurement with a special
density meter.

6 Wiring (Windows XP)

When the OS is Windows 7, refer to section 3 "Wiring (Windows 7)".

6.1 General Precautions for Wiring

(1) Check that the switchboard, the breakers for the units, and the power switch are all
OFF before connecting the power line. (Normally this work will be done after all
wiring is complete.)

(2) Be sure to connect all the cable connectors properly and securely.

(3) Be sure to ground shielded cables at both ends.

(4) Arrange the cables neatly and do not roll up surplus lengths of cable into small
bundles. Doing so may form coils, which may result in malfunctions.

104 M517-E451F
6.2 Connection Cables
Wiring overall of each type is shown in Figure 6-1 and Figure 6-2. Necessary cables are shown
in Table 6-1. Cable numbers shown in Table 6-1 are used in sentence and figure from next
section.

While observing the general precautions for wiring given in the previous section, connect the
units by following the explanations given in subsequent sections. The internal wiring for each
unit should already be complete at the time of installation and so this is not discussed here. For
details on the installation and wiring of options, refer to the installation manual for each option.
The units indicated with broken lines belong to the DAR-8000 series. For details on the
connection of these units, refer to the DAR-8000 installation manual.
