Little Lamb’.
magkatulad.

Gawain A. Basahin ang pangungusap.
Washing your hands is very important during this pandemic to keep you away from
diseases. Read and follow the set of directions in washing your hands properly.
Steps in Proper Handwashing
First, go to your kitchen and find the sink.
Second, wet your hands with warm water.
Next, get a soap to get rid of germs.
Then, scrub front and back of your hands while singing the song “Happy
Birthday to you”.
Afterward, rinse with water.
Finally, dry your hands with a clean towel.
Directions provide a guide on how to perform an action or to finish an action. Giving
and
following directions are not only used when locating a certain spot. It can also be
found when
drinking a doctor’s prescribed medicine, accomplishing simple household chores
that your
parents asked you to do, performing a simple Science experiment, and any other
activities.
Hence, directions are very important because they tell people the things they need
to know
and how to do a certain task properly and in an orderly manner. Here are some
suggestions to
follow when writing directions:
1. Directions must always be clear.
2. The sentences must come in an order that makes sense.
3. Make sure to include all necessary information.
4. Use signal words like first, next, then, afterward, lastly and finally.
Read the passage below and answer the questions that follow.
The first sentence in the paragraph is the general statement. The succeeding sentences
which enumerate the habits that one can do to keep the body safe from various diseases are
the specific statements. These specific statements provide further information about the first
sentence in the paragraph.
In a paragraph, you can distinguish between the general statement and the specific
statement based on how the passage is written. Most often, the general statement or the topic
sentence is written at the beginning of a paragraph. The succeeding sentences are the specific
statements which tell more information about the general statement.

QUARTER 3, WEEK 1 Intersecting, Parallel and Perpendicular Lines
Look at the figure below and try to describe the points in the line.
3. Obtuse Angle - an angle whose measure is more than 90 degrees but less
than 180 degrees.
Many objects around us are representations of geometric ideas such as shapes. A quadrilateral
has more properties linked with it than a triangle. A quadrilateral is the most important and
common type of polygon.
A triangle is a polygon with three sides, three angles, and three vertices. The sum of all internal
angles of a triangle is always equal to 180 0
The line segments are called sides and do not cross each other. There are exactly two sides that
meet at a point.
A quadrilateral is a polygon with four sides, four angles, and four vertices. All
the internal angles of a quadrilateral sum up to 360 0 (360 degrees).
Polygons are everywhere in our surroundings. There are different sizes, shapes, and sides.
Examples of polygons are triangles and quadrilaterals. We know that a three-sided polygon is a
triangle and the one with four sides is a quadrilateral. This week, we are going to identify and
describe triangles according to sides and angles .
Triangles as a polygon with three sides can be identified according to their sides. We can name
them as equilateral triangle which is a triangle having all sides equal, an isosceles triangle in which
two sides are equal, and scalene triangle which has three unequal sides.
Triangles according to angles are: acute triangle with all angles measuring less than 90 degrees,
obtuse triangle with one angle that is greater than 90 degrees and two angles that are less than
90, and right triangle with one of the angles measuring 90 degrees while the other two angles are
less than 90.

QUARTER 3, WEEK 2-3
Remember these:
❖ Magnets are objects that can attract other objects made up of
iron, nickel,
and cobalt such as nails, metal spoons, paper clips, thumbtacks.
❖ It has an invisible magnetic field.
❖ Materials that are non-metals are not attracted to a magnet
such as rubber,
plastics, and woods.
❖ There are several types of magnets like a rectangular magnet, a
bar magnet,
ring magnet, and horseshoe magnet.
Remember:
❖ The force exerted by a magnet is either push or pull or what we call magnetic force.
❖ Magnets have two poles, the north pole, and the south pole.
❖ When the poles of two magnets place near each other, it has a force that will pull
them together or push them apart.
❖ When the same poles of two magnets place near each other, they repel or push each
other away.
❖ When the opposite poles of two magnets place near each other, they attract or pull each
other together.
❖ If you break a magnet, the force that will be exerted by it will decrease.
❖ The push and pull of a magnet are called magnetism.
❖ We can use iron filings to illustrate the magnetic field of a magnet.
❖ Most of our appliances have a magnet inside them like television, radio, refrigerator,
and electric fan.
