What comes to your mind when you hear the words “Philippine music?” Is it the
same with OPM or Original Pilipino Music? Do you agree with what the title of this
popular song, “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika”, is saying? Why is it that Filipino songs
are considered beautiful? What makes them beautiful?
Is it because of the lyrics in which may of our experience, culture, and history
as a people are aptly expressed? Is it because if the melody that truly captures our
emotions and aspirations as people?
Try writing as many words as you can that can be used to described Philippine
music. An example is given.

DIRECTION: Create your own comic strip. In doing the activity, follow the procedures listed
below and see also the example.
Materials: any paper preferred to use, pen/pencil/marker, color/crayons/color pen/oil pastel
Step 4: Add in the speech and lettering. Now add in the lettering
for your speech into your speech bubbles and don’t forget to double-
check your spelling. Remember the size of your lettering could show

it as it is or even add some color.
