25 III. OBJECTIVE OF THE MEETING - EXPLANATION

27 To extend help to our fellow Filipino who are affected with the typhoon Ulysses, this
28 catastrophic event that happen in the Philippines brings heavy rains, flooding, and landslide.
29 The Local Youth Development officers want to initiates a donation drive for the victims of the
30 said typhoon mentioned above.

35 A. DONATION DRIVE

37 i. BE A HELPING HAND: A DONATION DRIVE FOR A CAUSE

39 This donation drive aims to collects old clothes, foods, hygiene kits and other
40 essentials things that can help the victims of the typhoon. We are all aware
41 that this typhoon brings a massive destruction in both lives of the people but
42 also to their properties.

44 The original plan in conducting the donation drive will start from November
45 18, 2020 and it will last on November 27, 2020. The entire collected donation
46 will be sorted according to their category and will be sending right away to
47 the victims of the typhoon.

49 All cash donation is also accepted in this planned donation drive, all the
50 money that are collected will be use to buy essential kits like food, water,
51 and hygiene kit addition to the accumulated donations.

53 The LYDO officers and staffs will be in-charge in facilitating the planned
54 donation drive.

56 For the proper simulation and implementation of the donation drive, updates
57 and announcements will be posted on LYDC Facebook page.

59 ii. OPEN FOR LIMITED YOUTH VOLUNTEERS

61 Since pandemic is still striking, limited youth volunteers are advised to render
62 their service that will strictly follow health protocols and will maintain social
63 distancing.

67 B. VIRTUAL CONCENT

69 i. CONCERT FOR A CAUSE (CFC)

71 Concert for a cause is a virtual concert, a voluntary participation where
72 participants will showcase their talent. The event will be held via Facebook
73 live, for the purpose of raising money for the victim of typhoon Ulysses.
74 Money can be sent through Gcash.

76 The money that will be gained from the event will be used to provide the
77 necessary foods and materials need that will be given to the victim of the
78 typhoon.

80 Aside from a voluntary participation, the LYDO members shall facilitate the
81 event (CFC), and will organize the rest of the event.

83 The event will be on December 10 th to 12th, 2021 and will start 5 o’clock in
84 the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening.

88 As for the activities, there can be mini-prizes to encourage the viewers to
89 participates. An online quiz bee or “guess that sound” where a music will be
90 played and viewers can comment their answer through Facebook live and
91 whoever guess the correct answer wins.

95 The LYDO members and officers will handle the event and will give thanks
96 and again encourage everyone to help and whoever wants to send money
97 through Gcash will be appreciated.
