Preamble
Hotel management education in India has been offered and
conducted in different calibers at present; such as one year diploma,
three-year diploma, 3-year degree and four-year degree programs.
Quality of students in terms of their employability and whether the
students are able to meet the prospect of the industry or the students
graduating from the hotel schools are gratified with the kind of
employment and salary that has been offered to them, are always on
discussion and a sultry topic for debates. However, "The National
Education Policy (2020)" is proposing an incipient method of
approach towards the technical undergraduate edification and most
of the universities are preparing themselves to adopt those
transmutations and reframe the curriculum of all the courses
accordingly.
It is withal emphasising on to the active collaborations between the
technical institutes and the industry for the pedagogy, curriculum
development, imparting adequate adeptness and cognizance to the
budding professionals. Consequently, it is always better to have an open
discussion and deliberations between the stakeholders of the hotel
management program especially on how to reinforce the industry
academic relationships and role of each stakeholder as per the
transmuting scenario of the Professional and the Higher education system
as whole.
Objectives of the conference
The Primary objective of this conference is to provide a common
platform for the stakeholders of the hotel management education to
interact and share their views on the changing perspective of the
pedagogy as per the NEP
To ensure active participation, interaction and guidance of the
hospitality industries in developing and imparting the required skill
and knowledge thereby better industry academia relationship
For providing a better insight on the changing style of the education to
the stakeholders so as to understand the standards expected and
followed from now onwards by the higher education sector.
