System Requirements

4 CPU Cores, 4 GB free RAM, 1 GB free Storage
Procedure
Step 01
Initialize Visual Studio

• Open “Build” folder in Visual Studio directory


• In an empty space, Press Shift + Right Click
• Select Open PowerShell window here

Initialize Visual Studio

• Type cmd + enter


• Drag “vcvars64” to PowerShell + enter

Open Workbench using PowerShell

Type the address to “RunWB32.exe” (from ANSYS install folder) + enter

Start ANSYS Fluent Project Tree

Drag “Fluid Flow (Fluent)” from Analysis Systems list


to the Workbench Project Schematic window

Import the Geometry (Created Previously)

Right click on Geometry + Edit Geometry in


Right click on Geometry + Import Geometry + Browse to select the file

Click on Generate then close the DesignModeler

Create the Mesh

Use Following Mesh Settings for


Re 500
Cylinder Diameter 1 m

Right click on Mesh and select edit

Make at least 500 cells in the Cylinder using the Sizing tool (Right click Mesh then insert then Sizing)

Create at least 10 inflation layers around the Cylinder using the Inflation tool

Refine the wake as required using the Sizing tool

Load the UDF

Select the UDF by using Add button then Build then Load
Right click Setup then Edit
