School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) is
a tool be used to assess the readiness of the
schools to participate in the conduct of the
Progressive Expansion of the Limited face-
to-face learning modality in the time of the
COVID-19 pandemic. The data gathered
shall be used as baseline information in
preparation for the safe reopening of classes.

A. School General Guidelines
 Sick students, teachers and other staff should not come to school.
 Regular hand washing with safe water and soap, alcohol and hand
sanitizer and cleaning of school surfaces is a MUST. The school has set up a
proper sanitation and hygiene facility for school-goers
 The school provides water, sanitation and waste management facilities
and follow environmental cleaning and decontamination procedures.
 The school implements the No Mask No Entry Policy.
 The school maintains social distancing at ALL times.
 Parents MUST only come to school when extremely necessary such as
during distribution and retrieval of the learning modules with pre-
determined schedule.
 Students are NOT allowed to roam around the school especially in the
VACCINATION AREA
 The school has ensured prohibition of conduct of physical or face-to-face
large gatherings, group work, or activities that will require close contact or
where physical distancing may not be possible (e.g., school activities, field
trips, sports festivals, flag ceremonies).
The school has set-up clear and easy-to-understand signages,
and mechanisms to strengthen observance of health protocols and
protective measures.

of the classrooms
b. Designation of separate entrance and exit points in the school
c. Designation of separate entrance and exit points in high traffic
areas
(unidirectional markers, installation of signages for cueing and
unidirectional movement, sectioning, and queueing)
d. Designated entrance and exit points in the classrooms
e. Hallway ground markings for walking direction guide
f. Designation of areas for queue (e.g., restroom, library, principal's
office, etc.)

RESURGENCES

This contingency plan encapsulates the school’s preparations and


guidelines for closing and reopening the school in case of COVID-19
resurgence which highlights the following:

I. decision points for school lockdown;


II. distance learning modalities during lockdown; and
III. strategies for the reopening of schools after the lockdown
