Textured Paint
Repair Materials and Tools

Repair Paints :
Color Pigment: Textured paint (HIS), color as indicated Spray and brushes:
Hardener : Textured paint Hardener (DN-75) • Airbrush (Iwaba HP-C) or spray gun with a nozzle diam-
Thinner : Thinner No. 8600 for synthetic resin paint eter less than 1.0mm. (A spray gun will, cover a wider
area.)
• Small brush with a fine, hard point for spot painting
• Viscosity Measure
Iwata-type (IHS) cup, Ford cup
• Beaker

Viscosity : 13 sec. (Iwata-type)


Drying time : 176°F (80°C) x 30 minutes
Solution : Thinner for mixing and diluting (Use the
Sanding tools:
thinner specified for the respective paint.)
• Wire brush, resin brush
Use the following materials or equivalents.
• Knife

Masking:
• Masking tape, paper, vinyl cover

Protectors:
• Wear an approved respirator or dust mask, gloves, safety
goggles and other protective clothing,
• Rag

Drier:
• Hair drier or handy spot heater

• Most paint contains substances that are harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Read the paint label before opening the container.
• Spray paint only in a well ventilated area.
• Cover spilled paint with a sand, wipe it at once.
• Wear an approved respirator, gloves, eye protection and appropriate clothing when painting. Avoid contact with skin.
• If paint gets in your mouth or on your skin, rinse or wash thoroughly with water.
• If paint gets in your eyes, flush with water and get prompt medical attention.
• Paint is flammable. Store it in a safe place, and keep it away from sparks, flames or cigarettes.
