11.Course Content: The course aims at a detailed introduction to the
student of behaviour within organizations. The field of organizational behaviour (OB) is defined as the field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behaviour within organizations. Organizations are ubiquitous; they are everywhere. From the moment we are born to the moment we die; we are always part of some organization. Although business organizations are only one type of organizations among many, the course will be focussing on business organizations. The course aims to examine in detail the individual and organizational dynamics at work in organizations. 12. Learning outcomes: After completing this part of the course, the students will be able to appreciate: The concept of organizational behaviour The nature of diversity in organizations The components that make up attitudes The significance of emotions in an organization The nature of personality and values and their significance in the workplace The role played by perception in organizations and its link to individual decision-making The different perspectives on motivation The dynamics of power and politics in organizations The different types of organizational structures The role played by organizational culture and how employees learn it.
