Cloud Computing

Reaction paper by Aura Ester F. Sionillo

July 23, 2022

Thinking what cloud computing is, I initially link it into Apple iCloud. Maybe because
they have the same “cloud” on it. Kidding aside, when it comes to talks that I have little to none
ideas, I always have an attentive mind and hearing. Coming from underestimating the
complexity of previous titles of webinars because of how simple words they were but broad in
purpose. On the other hand, as much as I wanted to pay attention to get more knowledge on
this last webinar out of all the series of webinars conducted, I cannot. Being nauseating and
feeling sick kept me away from the opportunity. However, I still have some catch up.

The cloud computing as far as I can recall based on my notes and screenshots before I
lost my consciousness for a short while is an internet-based technology that offers a variety of
applications and services, such as networking, servers, storage, and infrastructure, at a cheap
cost and on-demand. Instead of using local servers or personal devices to manage applications,
cloud computing relies on sharing computing resources. In exchange for limited customization,
it offers significant cost and delivery efficiencies and transfers operational risks from the
customer to the provider.

I then realized that iCloud is a literal cloud computing service by Apple. I then realized
that my talent in guessing and assuming things are not bad at all. After all what I have felt, I still
managed to finished the webinar with my mother’s care and help.
