MATERIALS:
1. Sorting Activity materials – comb/brush, toothbrush, marker, crayon, cotton buds, ruler,
charger wire, belt, plastic container, table
2. Pencil and eraser
3. Math Book (MB) – pp. 49, 50, 123, and 124
4. Portfolio p. 6, Animal cut-outs p. 7, glue and scissors.
Do you still remember our lesson earlier? To help you recall, let’s
do a sorting activity. Look for the following things at home:
- comb/brush - toothbrush
- crayon - marker
- cotton buds - ruler
- charger wire - belt
Compare the length of the 2 objects that are in the same color.
À10 minutes Identify which is short and which is long. As you compare each
set of objects, say the following to your learning coach “The
(object) is long while the (object) is short.” Put all the objects
that are short in a container. Place the long objects on a table.
Good thinking, girls! You are all set to answer pages 49, 50,
123, and 124 of your Math book. Recall what you learned
about comparing lengths and naming positions – in and
on as you answer each page.
PORTFOLIO TIME
Earlier we said that we can also compare lengths of animals.
For your Portfolio, get ready to compare some body parts of
the given animals while also learning interesting facts about
them.
Once you are done, take a picture of your work and insert this
in Math PK LP 6 Outputs.
Note for the learning coach: Kindly make sure that your child
writes her class number before her first name. Follow the correct
case of each letter in her name.
Beavers have short ears while rabbits have long ears. Even though they are different, they
both have an excellent sense of hearing. Paste the animal with long ears on the log. Paste the
animal with short ears in the river.
