Monkeys are very interesting animals.They have got hair all over their body and
they have also got a big tail. They have a face similar to a human face.
They are generally vegetarian so they like eating fruits and vegatables. They like
bananas very much. But they can eat insects,too.They are intelligent animals.
They can use stones and they can peel fruits. Scientists teach them human
language and they can understand it but they can’t speak it.
They are also very social animals. They have got tribes. They live in the rainforest
and they sleep on the trees. They work together and with this way they get their
food. Sometimes,they work together and they steal their food from humans!
They are intelligent, funnyand amazing animals.

2) TELEVISION
Watching television is a very interesting and fun activity. The first television
broadcast in Australia was in 1956. At first the pictures on a TV were black and
white only, but after a while color pictures appeared. This was great for TV
history!
On TV you can watch many different programmes about a range of things. Some
examples of TV programmes are news, cartoons, dramas, reality shows, sports,
documentaries and soap operas.
There are a lot of channels which show different TV programmes. In Western
Australia, the main channels are called “ABC”, “Seven”, “Nine”, “Ten” and “SBS”.
TV guides tell us what programmes are showing on which channel and what
time.
Most programmes on television are episodes, that are part of a series. These
episodes usually last for 30 minutes or an hour. On the weekend there are
sometimes movies on TV that you can watch, instead of going to the cinema.
You can learn a lot from watching TV, but you don’t have to watch too much
because you will hurt your eyes.
