Alright! so the first is to prepare mise en
place. Since all the materials are already set
up and the ingredients are prepared already,
let us proceed to the next procedure which is
choosing the bread to use in preparing
sandwich, it is up to you what type of bread

yeast bread and quick bread.
Yeast bread -refers to bread that uses yeast as
a leavener.

Quick Bread- is any bread leavened with

Again, it is up to you what type of bread you


will going to use. It is either yeast bread or
quick bread, I have here loaf bread and loaf
bread belongs to yeast bread.

Let us proceed to the next procedure which is


choosing condiments.

What are the uses of condiments in a


sandwich?

Very good! Condiments make the bread


moist. They add flavor and texture to the
food.

My available condiments here is mayonnaise.


But you can use any type of condiments it is
either ketchup, cheese, or other condiments
according to your type.

Next, choosing the fillings.


What are some sandwich fillings that you
know?
Yes! Fillings is what is inside the sandwich so (Student do as told)
for example, vegetables like salad leaves ,
sliced tomatoes or sliced onions. Another one
is meat fillings.

Fillings maybe simple or more expensive.


Simple fillings are egg, cheese and tuna while
corned beef, luncheon meat and sausages are
expensive fillings. I have here boiled eggs,
cucumber and tomatoes as fillings to our
sandwich. For the next procedure, mix the
mayonnaise and egg. I think proper food handling, Miss.

add the fillings

C. Post-demonstration It is done through following safety measures
in preparing foods.

me demonstrate the procedures in preparing

Directions: Perform the procedures in

Always remember that observing sanitary

important. The preparation of sandwiches
requires great deal of hand works. It does not
only demand mastery of the recipe, but it also
requires correct preparation of food or
sandwiches.

of appropriate containers and proper storage.
It is important to observe cleanliness and
safety because when you are careful in
handling the foods that you prepare for the
people who eat the foods, it simply means that
you care for them.
