G.O.Ms.No.1382, Public (RH.II) Department, dated 03.11.97. -------ORDER: In the G.O. read above, the enhanced cash dole as indicated below approved by the Government of India to the Sri Lankan Refugees accommodated in refugee camps in Tamil Nadu had been sanctioned with effect from 01.10.1997. 1. 2. 3. 4. 2. The Minister and Legislative Assembly Member who visited the refugee camps had recommended to enhance the cash dole. After a detailed examinations of the recommendations, it was announced on the Floor of the House, in the Budget speech 2006-2007 that the Government would provide a monthly financial assistance of Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred only) to the refugees in addition to the Central Government assistance of Rs.200/- (Rupees tow hundred only). Similarly the financial assistance granted to their family would also be doubled. 3. Accordingly the Government sanction the following cash dole to the Sri Lankan Refugees who are accommodated in the refugee camps.

Rs. 400/- per month Rs. 288/- per month Rs. 180/- per month Rs. 90/- per month

The enhanced cash dole takes effect from 1st August 2006. Necessary additional provision for the increased cash dole has been made in the Revised Budget Estimate 2006-2007 under the head of Account 2235 Social Security and Welfare -01 Rehabilitation 105 Repatriates from Sri Lanka AC Refugees and Relief Measures 56 Feeding and Cash Doles (2235 - 01 105 AC 5609). 4.
