Rizal Law and the Teaching of the Rizal course

We are presently living in a postmodern world dominated by electronic gadgets , cyber

technology, robotics, and scientific and genetic breakthroughs . In spite of the fact that the
Philippines is still just in the process of industrializing , it manages to cope with the current
global trend of development and industrialization. In this, education plays a vital role for an
educated and functional people can steer its country towards genuine progress.

The teaching of the Rizal course in all tertiary Institution in our country today embodies the
patriotic statements of the Rizal law and the following patriotic goals set by the former board on
National Education (Capino et al., 1997):

 To showcase the relevance of Rizals ideals, thoughts. Teachings, and values to

community life,
 To apply Rizals ideas to the solution of the day to day problems encountered in
contemporary life.
 To promote the understanding and appreciation of the qualities, conduct, and character of
Rizal and to foster the development of the moral character, personal discipline ,
citizenship skills, and vocational efficiency of the Filipino youth.

WHO MADE RIZAL OUR NATIONAL HERO

-He is deemed to be the greatest hero our country has produced because he was a towering
figure in the proganda Movement (roughly covering the period from1882 to 1896), having
played an admirable role there in. At the same time , Rizals first novel, Noli Me Tangere,
influenced the Filipino masses to a grteat extent . Without Rizal, there would have been no
bonifacio , who founded the katipunan.
