the years. This is largely because of the devices’ capability to do tasks
that were originally found in personal computers.

• It is a nonprofit service designed to help people who have visual and

reading impairments.
• Founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1996 by David Erdody.
• He was inspired by his father's diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy, an avid
reader of The New Yorker magazine and audiobooks.

World Wide
Web
World Wide Web

The World Wide Web, commonly referred to as www,

w3, or simply the Web is an interconnected system of
public webpages accessible through the Internet.

It was invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, an English

engineer and computer scientist in 1989.

Web pages are what make up the world wide web and
it can either be static or dynamic.
Web 1.0

Web pages are static and not interactive.

You can’t post comments or create an
account.

In web 1.0 advertisement on websites while

surfing the internet is banned.

Web 1.0 sites aren't interactive. Visitors can

only visit these sites; they can't impact or
contribute to the sites.
Four Design Essentials of
Web 1.0 site include:
➢ Static Pages

➢ Content is served from the server’s file-system.

➢ Pages built using Server Side Includes (SSI) or Common

Gateway Interface (CGI)

➢ Frames and tables are used to position and align the

elements on a page.
Web 2.0

It is the “writable” phase of the World Wide Web with

interactive data.

Facilitates interaction between web users and the sites,

so it allows users to interact more freely with each other

Web 2.0 encourages participation, collaboration, and

information sharing.
Web 3.0

It is the “executable” phase of World Wide Web with

interactive services and “machine-tomachine”
interaction.

In web 3.0, computers can interpret information like

humans and intelligently generate and distribute useful
content tailored to the needs of users.
The advance of technology
is based on making it fit in so
that you don't really even notice
it, so it's part of everyday life.
