Executive Introduction
As we enter the second half of 2022,
our revenue and earnings results are
above our mid-range expectations
for the first half of year, though still
not yet forecast to reach our 2019
levels by the end of the year.
The tenders and contract extensions
have also met expectations, and our
resource planning (people and
equipment) is keeping pace with the
activity growth. We still need
absolute focus on delivering
impeccable service quality, following
up with clients to ensure we are
meeting their requirements and
expectations, and identifying
additional needs that can be filled by
our advanced service options.
HSE KPIs are improving, but I ask
each of you to be aware of your
other crew members so that the
entire team always works in a safe
manner. Our initial ESG Report is
planned to be published before the
end of September.

With the increasing need for training
of all field personnel on the Xview
system, Mudlogging and Advanced
Services Instructor Ahmed Mansour
travelled to Aberdeen to attend a 10-
day classroom training session on
Xview and the WellWizard/Xview
hybrid system. Simon Mortimer
conducted the training which
focussed on the software, hardware
architecture, rigsite installation and
sensor connectivity. On the
penultimate day of training, Ahmed
successfully built and configured a full
Xview/WellWizard hybrid system in
the classroom.

UGANDA
Excellence Logging participated in the
first HSE Contractor Forum held by a
major oil and gas company in Kampala

several new build rigs. The first rig
should arrive around mid-November
for drilling operations to start before
Christmas.
The contract covers six oil fields with
more than 400 wells to be drilled from
31 well pads, with a capacity of
190,000 barrels of oil per day.
Protecting the environment:
This is a large onshore project with
one of the fields located within a
sensitive environment. The project
facilities have been designed to
represent a footprint of below 1% of
the protected area and a carbon
footprint of less than 10kgco2 /BOE.

CONGO
An audit of our mud logging activity
for TotalEnergies was held on May 12,
2022, at our Pointe-Noire base in
Congo. The auditor team was
represented by Roselin Ebiakobo and
Serge Pambou from the drilling
department and Yvon Kiminou from
HSE department. Mr. JM Penanguer
and Mr. Nik Spanovic represented
Exlog. The audit was successful with a
global score of 80%.
MIDDLE EAST
KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
In July, Excellence Logging was
certified CCC+, which is a specific
cybersecurity certificate delivered by
Saudi Aramco. This project was
managed by Osama Gado in Saudi
together with our IT support in France.
It is a great achievement for our
cybersecurity overall.
This certificate takes many factors into
account. These include:
• Governance: We developed our
specific cybersecurity policy
according to CCC+ requirements.
• Risk assessment: Penetration
tests are performed yearly to
check the efficiency of our system.
• Onboarding and Awareness: We
developed formal procedures for
on- and off-boarding employees;

our online training has been
defined, and every employee will
take the training once a year.
• Protection: We specified our
password policy and multifactor
authorization; all devices will be
protected; advanced antivirus
systems are installed on all
computers; all incoming emails
originating from the Internet are
scanned using anti-spam

• Data classification and data
protection: We have defined
policies and processes to classify
information in terms of criticality,
confidentiality and sensitivity, and
all data are encrypted.

New Regional Manager of Asia
Pacific Welcomed
In July, we welcomed Ayman Samir
Yousha, the new Asia Pacific Regional
Manager who will lead the Exlog
teams in Indonesia, Thailand, and
Malaysia. The management handover
took place during the management
visit by Yves Gehan, Francesco Vella,
Emmanuel Vellani and Basri Bakar to
the Kuala Lumpur office on July 1. This
event is the first step in establishing
the regional office for Asia Pacific in
Malaysia. In the following week,
Ayman and the Malaysia operations
team visited the Labuan base which is
the largest warehouse in Asia Pacific.
This base visit gave the logistics team
and several Exlog field crews in Labuan

visit, Ayman got to experience the
new culture and flavor in food while
exploring the new working
environment in Malaysia.

Management Visit to Thailand
With the Thai covid travel restrictions
finally lifted, the Bangkok and
Songkhla office and yard was very
pleased to host a visit from Francesco
Vella, Hussein Aldarawish and David
Sewell in June 2022.
The visitors stayed in Bangkok for
several days and high-level meetings
were conducted in the office before
flying down to Songkhla to inspect our
facility and meet our technical team
and field crew.
It was great to be finally able to meet
them again for the first time in over
two years!

ARGENTINA
Complex Fishing Job Successfully
Executed by Slickline
In Argentina, Exlog successfully fished
a gas lift valve that was missing its
fishing head. The valve was a BEK-2
that requires an equalizer prong to be
set before fishing.
Slickline is often a craftsman’s job, and
this fishing job was no exception. On
the first attempt, the head of the valve
was removed from the body of the
valve. An overshot with internal jaws
to fish the valve from within the
internal body of the valve was then
specially developed in the machine
shop.
After a few attempts the valve was
then fished, and the customer was
extremely happy as a workover
