Mission Vision
Mission Vision
purpose is to provide high-quality learning for students, which I believe will also assist me in
achieving my own life goals. I am positive that the high-quality education they offer will allow
me to complete my college degree and provide me with a myriad of exciting opportunities once I
graduate. Furthermore, it aims to strengthen my love of learning and encourage me to become a
much more disciplined person for the world. The mission and vision will help me advance my
skills in career decisions as well as provide opportunities for lifelong learning that I can apply to
my current course and to myself.
The college goals will lead me down many different paths that will mold my career and
to become a successful and morally upright student graduate, I must set high standards for
myself and put in a lot of effort. These goals will enable me to set priorities and stay motivated
and committed to my college success, being equipped with innovative ideas is advantageous in
my course because we require creativity in the field of architecture since the world is changing
rapidly and we must adapt to those changes quickly. Furthermore, to keep up with technological
and infrastructure trends, as well as to set realistic initiatives to improve a student's performance
and productivity, innovative education is necessary.
Any of a class of substances is characterized by high electrical and thermal conductivity as well as by
malleability, ductility, and high reflectivity of light.
Due to their essential properties, metals are commonly used in the building and construction sector.
Metals are the first choice regarding structure, reinforcement, cladding, roofing, window frames,
plumbing, heating equipment, and many other application.
2. Rebar Steel
3. Structural Steel
‘Ferrous’ is derived from the Latin word ‘Ferrum,’ meaning ‘iron.’ Steel, cast iron, and titanium are
ferrous metals, as are iron alloys with other metals (such as with stainless steel).
The term "non-ferrous" refers to a metal that does not contain a large percentage of iron in its chemical
components. Non-ferrous metals are utilized because of desired features such as reduced weight,
greater conductivity, non-magnetic property, or corrosion resistance. They are generally more expensive
than ferrous metals. (alluminum, copper, lead, tin, )
Concrete:
Without modifying adjective, it is usually a mixture of cement, water, sand, and gravel.
Application
Pile foundations
• Footings
• Foundation walls
• Structural members –
Forms of concrete:
1. Ready mixed concrete - Most common form. Batched at local plants for delivery in the familiar
trucks with revolving drums.
2. Cement based materials - Materials in this category includes mortar, grout and terrazzo. • Soil-
cement and roller-compacted concrete are “cousins” of concrete are used for pavements and
dams.
3. Precast concrete products - Cast in a factory setting. • Benefit from tight quality control
• Products range from concrete bricks and paving stones to bridge girders, structural
components and panels.
4. Concrete masonry - Manufactured concrete • Best known for its conventional 8x8x16 inch
Block • Can be molded into shapes, configurations, colors, textures.
Glass
A hard brittle inorganic substance, ordinarily transparent or translucent, produced by melting
a mixture of silica, a flux and a stabilizer, while molten, may be blown, drawn, rolled, pressed or
cast to a variety of shapes.
Benefits:
Allows entry of natural light
▪ Entry of sunlight provides warmth
▪ Provide beautiful “view” of exterior environment
▪ Aesthetically appealing
▪ Visible Transmittance
Terminology:
GLAZIER
— A glass installer
• GLAZING
—Installation of a transparent material (a glass) into an opening That is “Glass and Glazing”.
Type of glass:
Reflective glass - Used to control glare and reduce solar heat.
Rolled and rough cast glass - Glass of this type is used where clear vision is not required, such as by
factory roofs and walls, windows for hals and staircases, sky lights, and partitions in offices.
Tempered plate glass - Three to five times as strong as regular plate of the same thickness- and area in
resisting compressive forces and fracture due to strain or thermal shock.
Laminated safety glass - Widely used in the automotive industry and transportation, but now finding
some uses in the building industry, like glass that can withstand firearm attack and explosions.
Insulating glass - This consists of two sheets of plate or sheet glass, separated by an air space, and joined
around the edges to produce a hermiticaly sealed unit, There are three methods of sealing and all these
sealed units provide thermal insulation and greatly restrict condensation. They reduce external noise
but still permit the entry of natural light.
