STANDING ON THE SHOULDER OF GIANTS

Many things have happened throughout my life and I am most grateful to Allah for what I am
today and what I will be in the future. In going through this process, I am indebted to those that
He has bestowed upon me that have selflessly given a lot in order for me to be who I am.

It is without question that my parents have sacrificed too much, having done all that they can
and a lot more to teach and guide me in my upbringing. Only ALLAH can repay them and I pray
that He will reward them with the best reward, Jannah in the hereafter.

I am also beholden to my dearest wife for what she has done, shared and taught me for me to
be a better person. Her ideas have on many instances indicated the choice that I should take,
which later was proven to yield the best outcomes. She has given a lot, and will continue to do
so, and for that there are no words that can express my thankfulness other than my prayers that
Allah will bless her forever.

In my journey of knowledge pursuit, I owe it to those whom I have met that have taught me the
lessons that I need to know, within and beyond the curricula and structure. These lessons turn
out to not only to be that of academics, but also lessons of life that have guided my intellect and
expanded my horizons. The teachers, lecturers, professors, colleagues and many others have,
in the occasions mentioned below, throughout my career and beyond, contributed immensely to
shape me as a person and a member of humanity. Although some of their names have lapsed
my memory, but all of their deeds will forever be with me. To them, I express my deepest
gratification and may Allah reward them for what they have imparted to me.
