Hello,
We understand that you would like to know why the Office 2013 software will not operate on your PC
you purchased in 2005. Based on the details you provided, your PC has the following specifications:
233Mhz processor, 128MB of RAM, a VGA monitor, and is running Windows XP.
The standard system requirements for MS Office 2013 include a minimum of 1 GHz processor (233Mhz
is equivalent to 0.233 Ghz), at least 1 GB of RAM (128 MB is equivalent to 0.128 GB) and Windows 7 or
above. Unfortunately, your current PC does not meet the minimum system requirements for MS Office
2013. Therefore, you will not be able to run MS Office 2013 on it.
Your options would be to run an older version of Office, upgrade or replace your current PC with one
that meets or exceeds the specifications in the above paragraph. Given the age of your current system,
your best course of action would be to replace your PC with a new one.
If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for contacting Microsoft support helpdesk. We look forward to assist you in the future.
