1 Introduction
This document describes the process of installing and using the Nemo Global License Server
network license tool and network licenses with Nemo tools.
In order to use network licenses with Nemo products, you will need a Nemo Global License
Server (GLS) that will store and distribute the licenses.

2 End-User

End-user functionality
The end-user functionality includes rights to:
• View lists of licenses
• Activate licenses
• Return licenses

Login page
End-user is asked to authenticate in the login page. As soon as the end-user passes the login
page, authentication info is stored in web app session. In case you have forgotten your
password, click the Forgot password link at the bottom of the dialog box and a new, temporary
password is created and sent to your email address. The email address given in the Nemo GLS
user profile will be used.

Installing user installation package


These instructions apply to first-time users only. If you already have Nemo GLS installed on your
computer, please refer to chapter 2.4 How to start using the new Nemo Global License Server.

You need administration rights to install the Nemo Global License Server.
Nemo Analyze users need to stop Analyze ODBC Windows service in “Services”
management tool in Windows before installation and restart the service after
installation.

1. Once you have logged in, go to the Downloads page and download the User
installation package for GLS users. Unzip the package to a folder on your computer,
for example C:\.

2. Run Command prompt in Administrator mode (type cmd in the Windows Start menu,
right-click on the cmd.exe item and select Run as administrator).

3. Go to the folder where you unzipped the package and type haspdinst.exe –i and press
Enter. The Sentinel Run-time Environment Installer will start and display a message
when the installation is completed.

How to start using the new Nemo Global License Server
These instructions apply to old Nemo GLS users who already have the server installed on their computer.

1. Open a web browser on your computer and type the following URL:
http://localhost:1947/_int_/config_network.html.

The screen below will open.

2. Add GLS address https://gls.nemo.fi to EMS URL field and click Submit.
3. Browse and login back to your GLS and start detaching the licenses.

Get a license
The processes of retrieving and returning licenses from and to the license server are called
activating a license and returning a license, respectively. Licenses can be activated and returned
in online mode only.
The license server and the client PC (the one using the license) are connected to the same
network or connection to server is made via internet connection.

1. Click Get License in the toolbar. The form below is opened. First choose the product
(the number after product name shows the number of available product licenses in the
pool) and then select the end date for the license. Below the end date field you will see
the maximum allowed end date for this license.

2. Click Get License.


3. You can now start the Nemo application for which you activated the license. The
License Information dialog box in Nemo Outdoor and the Copy Protection tab on the
About Nemo Analyze dialog box will display the expiration date for the license. Format is
date/ month/ year.

Returning a license
A license will expire after the date specified in the license server and it will be returned
automatically. You can also return the license manually if you wish to return it before the
expiration date.
1. In the license server, choose the license to be returned. Click Return.

2. Click Continue to confirm. The license (seat) will be returned back to license server.

Extending a license
End-users can extend their licenses. Go to the Active Licenses view and click Extend.

Type in the new license end date and click Extend.

Please note that a license can only be extended until the maximum allowed end
date.

Users
From the Users page, end-users can check which users are in the same license pool and what
are their roles.

Downloads
From the Downloads view, Pool Admins and end-users can download files shared by the Master
Admin.

Nemo Products. Submitting a ticket via Nemo Support Portal ensures that our technical
specialists have all the necessary information available to solve your support case, resulting in
faster response times.

to obtain a password to the system.

Phone and email support


During the warranty period, the phone support related to potential software errors is free of
additional charge. Registered users with a valid Maintenance Agreement are entitled to full

send us an email to nemo.support@keysight.com. When emailing, please let us know the
number of your Software Maintenance and Support Agreement.
