Camping is an outdoor activity involving overnight stays away from home, either without shelter or
using basic shelter such as a tent

Trekking is a form of walking, undertaken with the specific purpose of exploring and enjoying the

when, why, and with whom they can pursue leisure experiences and interests.

Leisure activity an activity chosen for pleasure, relaxation, or other emotional satisfaction,
typically after work and other responsibilities are done.
EXISTENCE TIME time spent for biological needs like having a meal, sleeping, and other personal
care

Recreational activity is any type of stimulus to get your enthusiasm, motivation and
curiosity engaged in the enjoyment of physical and mental acuity for the purpose of using
the time you have in the most valuable ways possible for reasons of health, fitness, and
happiness in your life

 SUBSISTENCE TIME is time refers to the hours spent for economic


purposes such as going to work, chores, and for students, hours spent in
school and school work

 FREE TIME is all the remaining time after.

Noelle Wenceslao became the first Filipino female mountain climber to reach the top of
the 29,035-foot Mt. Everest in Nepal. She was part of the three-female mountaineer
contingent who would be recognized as the first three Filipinas to reach the peak of Mt.
Everest
Romi Garduce as we know, is the First Filipino to complete the World’s Seven Summits. He is
known as ‘Garduch’ to his friends in the mountaineering industry.

Ale Abenojar, the first Filipino to reach the peak of Mt. Everest was taken with disbelief by
some local mountaineers, is preparing to go back to the world’s tallest mountain for an "honest
to goodness unity climb’’ in May with the members of the 1st Philippine Mount Everest
Expedition (FPMEE) team.

Mount Apo is the highest mountain and volcano in the Philippines. The first successful climb to
Mount Apo was led by Don Joaquin Rajal, a Politico-Military Governor of Davao with Datu
Manib of Sibulan as their guide, dating back to year 1880. Apo's last eruption, however, is
unknown and sulfuric craters spewing toxic fumes can be found on the boulders section, on the
way to the summit.

Mount Pinatubo is an active volcano located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, at the intersection of


the borders of the provinces of Zambales, Tarlac, and Pampanga. Before 1991, the mountain was
inconspicuous and heavily eroded. It was covered in dense forest which supported a population of several
thousand indigenous people, the Aeta, who had fled to the mountains from the lowlands when the Spanish
conquered the Philippines in 1565.

Pulag is Luzon’s highest peak at 2,926 meters above sea level and is popular among hikers
and trekkers because of its picturesque trails and a stunning view of Mt. Pulag sea of clouds.
