CHAPTER III
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The procedure and methods on how the research will be conducted are discussed
in this chapter. It presents the description of the research design, research environment,
procedure.
Research Design
The researcher used the correlational survey method of gathering the data that
were needed to answer the research problem set by the study. It used questionnaires
Research Environment
The research was conducted at The College Of Maasin located at R. Kangleon St.
Tunga-Tunga, Maasin City, Southern Leyte. The school has a total land area of 9
hectares. The school has the total population of 805 as from the Senior High School
department only. 464 total students of Grade 11 and 341 for Grade 12.

Research Sampling
The researcher used purposive sampling technique where the respondents are
selected because of some characteristics. Female students of The College Maasin are
selected because they are appropriate to the main purpose of the researcher as basis for
accurate information.
Research Respondents
The respondents of the study are the Grade 11 Senior High School female
students of The College Of Maasin for the school year 2018-2019. There are a total of ten
(10) sections in Grade 11. Two (2) sections in Accountancy Business and Management
and Mathematics (STEM) and there are four (4) sections in Humanities and Social
Sciences (HUMSS). Each sections will be presented by five (5) female respondents that
Research Instruments
The researcher utilized a survey questionnaire that is used to conduct the activity
and evaluation to the respondents to gather sufficient data in determining the effect of
Korean Wave.

A permission letter was given to the Grade 11 advisers of each strand, requesting
to conduct a study which their students will be involved. Upon approval, the
questionnaire will be distributed to the prospect respondents informing them about the
research and its process so that the collection of data will happen.
3. Questionnaires was immediately retrieved right after they had answer the
questions.
