“Cast yourself into the arms of God and be very sure that if he wants anything of you, He will fit

you for the

work and give you strength”. This famous quote of St. Philip Neri reminds me that God will make our life

meaningful if we rely upon him.

In any struggle, it is important to note that what my life brings, God always puts a channel for man to get up

and to conquer the enemy of fear and darkness.

This week I struggled a lot giving my best to satisfy my thesis, but it’s sad to say that due to lack of

resources my adviser didn’t want me to present it in today’s validation, he said: “if you want to pass your

work come over here in our school get your needed books and start doing it again”. I was so disappointed

because I told them before that our sources are so limited because many of them are in our library, but they

said, just do what you can, but now they just simply bargaining my work.

Trials are inevitable and unpredictable, it is a natural phenomenon of human’s life and, all human can do is

to embrace it and stand up again. Any one of us has its weakness like Peter who leaves Christ because of

fear at Gethsemane and even denying Him. But that weak Peter transformed and became a strong witness in

Christ's life. Tonight’s reading urges us to follow Christ not because Peter told us to do so. But rather, he

wanted us (people) to follow Christ because he witnesses and live the life that Christ has been told and he

found it meaningful. A life that serves as a good model in a society, a model who understands, guides, and

protects societies’ spiritual and material growth. To promote justice, peace, and equality among individuals.

Because the life of a religious people is a life of service. That is why I constantly ask myself the following

questions:

Does my prayer develop my relationship with God, friends, and my families? Second, Do I have a

good relationship with my Bishop, priests, and brothers and with the people in forming relational

bridges to communicate the gospel in a non-threatening way? And third, did my actions promote a

service that invites people for conversion.

These are the questions that I constantly ask myself, hoping that like Peter my life is conducive enough to

promote humanity.
