10TH Week Ohms Law
10TH Week Ohms Law
I. OBJECTIVES
Content Standard:
The learners demonstrate understanding of Newton’s three laws of motion and uniform circular motion
are interrelated in terms of application of constant force.
Performance Standards:
Learning Competencies
The learners...
1. Describe the three laws of motion.
2. explain the relationship between the amount of force applied and the mass of the object to the amount of change
in the object’s motion;
3. describe that when a body exerts a force on another, an equal amount of force is exerted back on it;
4. explain how a body responds to changes in motion;
5. compare the laws of motion to bodies in uniform circular motion;
6. explain that circular motion requires the application of constant force directed toward the center of the circle;
Essential Understanding
Students will understand that newton’s three law of motion, uniform circular motion and the
application of constant force can be used in developing a written plan of “Newton’s Olympics” by practicing
road safety at all times.

1. What is electricity?
2. What is Ohm’s Law?
B. FIRM UP (DAY2)
Activity 3: OHMS LAW
1. If a circuit has a resistance of 18 ohms and a current of 15 A, what is the voltage?\
2. A radio is designed to take in 2 A when connected to a 10 V source. Calculate the resistor.
3. A spotlight has a resistance of 20 ohms and requires 32 A. of current to function.
4. How many voltage is required to make 6 amp. Of current flow through 5 ohm resistor?
C. DEEPEN (DAY 3)
Activity 4: Problem Solving
1. Calculate the resistance of a 1000 Watt microwave designed for 27 Volts.
2. A pool heater running on 150V, and draws a current of 30A. How much energy does it use per week if it is
used for 9 hours a day.
3. A radiator working with 30V potential difference has power 180 watt. Find the current passing through and

Guide Questions:
1. What happened to the amount of current as you increased the resistance? What kind of relationship exists between
the two?
2. What happened to the amount of current as you increased the voltage? What kind of relationship exists between
the two?
3. Describe the differences of the values of current using the multimeter and by computation using the Ohms Law?
E. TRANSFER: DAY 4
Activity 6: Revisiting Map of Conceptual Change
Focus Question
WHAT I THINK
WHAT I LEARNED
Process Questions:
1. What is electricity?
2. What is Ohm’s Law?
You work in a advertising agency, and one of your clients is an electric company in the
Philippines. You are task to create a slogan on the production of electrical power. Your output will be distributed to all the
consumers so they will know how electricity is produced and understand the reason for the rise and fall of electrical
energy consumption.
Criteria:
Neatness/ Appearance: 5%
Accuracy): 3%
Attention to the consumer: 2%
Total: 10 %
Questions for Values Integration:
1. What is the importance of electricity in our generation today?
