In the basic PLL, reference signal and the signal from the voltage controlled oscillator are connected to the two
input ports of the phase detector. The output from the phase detector is passed to the loop filter and then filtered
signal is applied to the voltage controlled oscillator.
How can you detect weak signal buried in noise using PLL principle:
We can detect weak signal buried in noise using PLL principle. We need to pass the signal through the
signal amplifier, and then through a PLL circuit, and at the end through a DC Amplifier. This is the entire
circuit of a Lock in amplifier, which detects weak signal buried in noise.
Multiplying two signals of same frequency (ω) with phase difference Φ and show mathematically that the signal of a
particular frequency can be locked when phase diff. is constant with respect to a given reference signal
