LUKE 23:39-43
39 And one of the criminals who were hanged {there} was hurling abuse at Him, saying,
"Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!" 40 But the other answered, and rebuking
him said, "Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of
condemnation? 41 "And we indeed justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our
deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong." 42 And he was saying, "Jesus, remember me
when You come in Your kingdom!" 43 And He said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you
shall be with Me in Paradise."

A. The Timing Of Salvation Is Present. "Today"

B. The Timing Of Salvation Is Personal. "I Say To You"

ILLUSTRATION:
Art Gray was one of the deacons in the church I pastored in St. Louis. We had Larry Lewis
come for a revival meeting. He asked to meet with the deacons before the service and have
them be invitation counselors. Art Gray wqas one of those deacons.

When the invitation time came the deacons came forward to be ready to serve as counsellors.
Art came to me and said I need to get saved. I called out of the congregation one of our
Evangelism Explosion Trainers and asked him to take Art out to the library and talk with him
about salvation. I did not tell any one why art had come forward.

After church I talked privately with Art and he told me he had never been saved, and the Lord
told him tonight was the nioght he needed to deal with it.

God's Word Is Today. Satan's Word Is Tomorrow.

APPLICATION:

LUK 19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus,
hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house."

LUK 19:9 And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is
a son of Abraham.

ACT 26:29 And Paul {said,} "I would to God, that whether in a short or long time, not only
you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I am, except for these chains."

2CO 6:2 for He says, #"\At the acceptable time I listened to you\, \And on the day of
salvation I helped you\";# behold, now is "\the acceptable time,\" behold, now is "\the day of
salvation\"--

HEB 3:7 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, #"\Today if you hear His voice\,

HEB 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is {still} called "Today," lest
any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

HEB 3:15 while it is said, #"\Today if you hear His voice\, \Do not harden your hearts, as
when they provoked Me.\"#

HEB 4:7 He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time
just as has been said before, #"\Today if you hear His voice\, \Do not harden your hearts.\"#

THE INDIVIDUALITY OF SALVATION.

A. An Individual Salvation That Is Inclusive. "I Say To You"

B. An Individual Salvation That Is Exclusive. "You Shall Be With"

THE FELLOWSHIP OF SALVATION.

A. A Fellowship With The Saviour. "With Me"

B. A Fellowship With The Saved. "The Thief"

 VI. THE THEOLOGY OF SALVATION; SPEAKS TO
THE LOCATION OF SALVATION.

A. It Is Located In "His Paradise"

B. It Is Located In "Our Person"

CONCLUSION:

Eternal Investment, H. L. Hunt Made Millions Of Dollars As A Texas Oilman. He Was An

Aggressive Business Man Who Had Little Regard For Time. His Chief Confidant Said He
Was Just As Apt To Call In The Middle Of The Night As He Was To Call In The Middle Of
The Day.
