1. Describe your opinion about these two different pronunciations!
Answer:
One of the clear differences between the two accents comes from the pronounciation of the
sound /r/. American English emphasizes the /r/sound, while British English tends to omit
the /r/ sound and usually replaces it with the /ɑː/ sound for some words.

2. If you have to make a choice, which one do you choose? Why?

Answer:
• Syafira Amalia, AB
I prefer the American accent because it's more familiar to use in daily life than the
British one, which sounds more heavy and formal, and the vocabulary of the two
accents are also different.
• Raihanul Afni MG.
I chose the American accent because it is easy to pronounce, listen to, and is used
by many people.
• Maghfiratunnisa Syarifuddin
I chose an American English accent because for me, an American English accent
is easier to pronounce, and since elementary school, the only English accent I
have learned is the American English accent.
• Nur Fadhilah Ishaq
I prefer American English because it is easier to pronounce than British English.
• Inggit Putri
I chose the American accent because, for me, it is easier to pronounce and also,
most movies and pop songs in the entertainment world also use American English
the most.
