MINUTES OF THE LAC SESSION ON CAPABILITY ENHANCEMENT ON THE

PREAPRATION OF LEARNING PLANS, ASSESSMENTS, AND EVALUATION TOOLS IN
THE BLENDED LEARNING MODALITY

Session 1: Constructing a comprehensive and coherent Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP)

PRELIMINARIES
The session started at 8:00 AM where Memory B. Lazo, Teacher I lead the opening prayer
followed by the conducted of the National Anthem by Marianne Mae Lomioan. The school head, Mrs.
Rufina Lazo rendered her opening remarks stating the importance of the whole session.

SESSION PROPER
After the remarks by the school head, Mr. Mike Dam-as gave a short energizer through a
Zumba dance. Further, at 9:30 AM, the school head started to discuss the objectives of the session and
the topic “Constructing a comprehensive and coherent Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP)”. After
which, she also gave an introduction on the construction of Test Questions and Table of
Specifications (TOS). The morning session ended at 11:45 and the school head declared for a lunch
break.
A workshop on the topic discussed was done in the afternoon session. The teachers were
asked to construct their Weekly Home Learning Plan for the proceeding week based on their major of
specialization. After the workshop, the attendees were asked to present their outputs.
The presentation ended at 4:00 PM. The attendees were given ample time to share their
insights and ideas on the activities done in the day.

Session 2: Constructing TOS, Item Analysis, tracking MPS and LOP through the use of Microsoft
Excel and identifying least learned competencies

PRELIMINARIES
The session started at 8:00 AM where Mie Dam-as, Teacher II lead the opening prayer
followed by the conducted of the National Anthem by Dothy Tumbaga. Ms. Zeril Jing Paderes was
assigned for the presentation of objectives and leveling of expectations.

SESSION PROPER
The session on Constructing TOS, Item Analysis, tracking MPS and LOP using Microsoft
Excel and identifying least learned competencies started at 10:15 AM as Ms. Pacapac introduced the
use of excel in doing teacher’s clerical tasks. The participants were asked to get a copy of their
activity sheets to be used for a workshop for the session. The speaker discussed the importance of
TOS, Item Analysis, and the purpose of collecting MPS and LOP of the students. After the discussion,
the speaker made a simulation activity on the use of Microsoft excel in doing the task.
A workshop on the topic discussed was done in the afternoon session. The teachers were
asked to construct their TOS, Item Analysis with least learned competencies identified, as well as
their MPS and LOP for the quarter. After the workshop, the attendees were asked to present their
outputs and shared their insights on the day’s session.
The presentation ended at 4:15 PM. T

Session 1: Using ZIP Grade mobile app on checking and assessing students’ outputs

PRELIMINARIES
The session started at 8:00 AM where Vines Pacapac, Teacher II lead the opening prayer
followed by the conducted of the National Anthem by Zeril JING Paderes. After the preliminaries,
Mr. Melbi Saboy was asked to lead an energizer dance.

SESSION PROPER
The session on using Zip Grade mobile app started at 10:15 AM, with the speaker Mr. Xyrus
Campol who discussed the importance of using gadgets in the teaching profession especially in the
blended learning modality. The speaker noted that today’s generation requires the use of technology
even in doing paper works and even assessing students’ outputs. The following are the needed things
for zip grade app:
 Printed copy of test questions
 Mobile phone
 Soft copy of test questions to be entered in the app site for synchronization
The speaker showed a sample test and asked the participants to answer them correctly. After
which, the answers were collected, and the speaker showed the process on how to check the outputs
and determine results using the mobile app. Finally, he reiterated that there is a subscription fee
needed for the app to work consistently. The participants shared their insight and ideas after the
session discussion.
In the afternoon, the school head gave some updates and announcements. The session ended
at 4:00 PM.
