KIRCHOFF’S VOLTAGE LAW ON SERIES PARALLEL CIRCUIT

BLUE loop ORANGE loop

𝑽𝑺 − 𝑽𝟏 − 𝑽𝟐 − 𝑽𝟑 = 𝟎 𝑽𝟐 + 𝑽𝟑 − 𝑽𝟒 − 𝑽𝟓 = 𝟎
𝑽𝑺 = 𝑽𝟏 + 𝑽𝟐 + 𝑽𝟑 𝑽𝟐 + 𝑽𝟑 = 𝑽 𝟒 + 𝑽𝟓

GREEN loop
𝑽𝟓 − 𝑽𝟔 − 𝑽𝟕 = 𝟎
𝑽𝟓 = 𝑽𝟔 + 𝑽𝟕

Combine BLUE loop & ORANGE loop Combine ORANGE loop & GREEN loop
𝑽𝑺 = 𝑽𝟏 + 𝑽𝟐 + 𝑽𝟑 𝑽𝟐 + 𝑽𝟑 = 𝑽 𝟒 + 𝑽𝟓
𝑽𝑺 = 𝑽𝟏 + 𝑽𝟒 + 𝑽𝟓 𝑽𝟐 + 𝑽𝟑 = 𝑽𝟒 + 𝑽𝟔 + 𝑽𝟕

Combine BLUE loop, ORANGE loop & GREEN

loop

𝑽𝑺 = 𝑽𝟏 + 𝑽𝟒 + 𝑽𝟓
𝑽𝑺 = 𝑽𝟏 + 𝑽𝟒 + 𝑽𝟔 + 𝑽𝟕
KIRCHOFF’S CURRENT LAW ON SERIES PARALLEL CIRCUIT

Normally choose nodes which connects 3 or more component

BLUE node
𝑰𝑹𝟏 − 𝑰𝑹𝟐 − 𝑰𝑹𝟒 = 𝟎
𝑰𝑹𝟏 = 𝑰𝑹𝟐 + 𝑰𝑹𝟒
The same current flowing in voltage supply and R1, 𝑰𝑹𝟏 = 𝑰𝑺
The same current flowing in R2 and R3, 𝑰𝑹𝟐 = 𝑰𝑹𝟑
*When components are connected in series, the current are identical

ORANGE node
𝑰𝑹𝟒 − 𝑰𝑹𝟓 − 𝑰𝑹𝟔 = 𝟎
𝑰𝑹𝟒 = 𝑰𝑹𝟓 + 𝑰𝑹𝟔
The same current flowing in R6 and R7, 𝑰𝑹𝟔 = 𝑰𝑹𝟕

Substitute ORANGE node term into BLUE node term

𝑰𝑹𝟏 = 𝑰𝑹𝟐 + 𝑰𝑹𝟒
𝑰𝑹𝟏 = 𝑰𝑹𝟐 + 𝑰𝑹𝟓 + 𝑰𝑹𝟔
