HAND FIRE EXTINGUISHER - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION


1. Description
A. A portable, hand operated fire extinguisher is mounted on the floor between the pilot and copilot seats for use in the event of a
fire. Various extinguishing agents are available and are listed on the placard found on the bottle. The extinguisher may be used
on solid combustible, electrical or liquid fires. Servicing of the extinguisher can be handled by most fire equipment dealers. The
fire extinguisher is mounted within a quick release, clamp type bracket assembly. (Refer to Figure 1).
2. Operation
A. For operation of the fire extinguisher, refer to Section 7 of the Pilot’s Operating Handbook.
