For more than 30 years, Korg has produced powerful, award winning music
workstations that have changed the face of modern music. The M1, Triton and
Kronos are all legendary music workstations that have been loved and used by
musicians all around the world. By combining high quality sounds, with effect
processing, sequencing, and digital recording into a single instrument, Korg
helped to make the creative process more intuitive and simplified and remain
committed to further evolving music workstations by continuing to adding and
refined both current and new technologies.

Looking to the past, present and future Korg's KRS-08 “Best of TRITON”
sound bank provides 128 converted TRITON programs, with KARMA + Drum
Track assignments for the KRONOS.

Contents: 128 Programs

Note: Although great care has been taken to reproduce the original TRITON
sounds, due to the differences between the KRONOS KARMA assignments and
TRITON Arp assignments , some “TRITON” Programs differ slightly from the
original versions.

KRS-08 requires KRONOS software version 3.0.4. Version 3.0.4 is a free update,
and can be downloaded from

Transferring the sounds from your computer

After downloading the sounds:
1. Un-zip the downloaded file.
The unzipped folder contains the KRS-08.PCG files and Manuals.

2. Save the .PCG file to a USB hard drive or USB flash media.
3. Connect the USB storage device to the KRONOS.
4. Press the DISK button to enter Disk mode.
Wait a few seconds to allow the USB storage device to be recognized.

5. Use Drive Select to select the USB storage device.
6. Go to the Disk Utility page.
7. Use the Copy menu command to copy the .PCG file to the KRONOS
internal disk.
In the Copy dialog, set Drive Select to HDD: INTERNAL HD, navigate to the
desired location for the files, and then press the Paste button.

Loading the sounds into internal memory

Before loading, make sure to back up important data onto the internal disk
or a USB storage device. When you load the PCG file into a Program bank
in memory, data previously stored in that bank will be overwritten.
By default, the Programs will load into bank USER-G. You can also load them
into any other Program bank, if you prefer.

Loading the Programs into the default bank
To load the Programs into USER-G, the default bank:
1. Go to the Disk Load page.
2. Select the KRS-08.PCG file.
3. Press the Load button.
A dialog box appears.
4. Leave the .PCG Contents menu set to All.

5. Press OK.
The Programs will be loaded into Program bank USER-G.

Loading the Programs into a different Bank
To load the Programs into any other bank:
1. Go to the Disk Load page.
2. Select the KRS-08.PCG file.
3. Press the Load button.
A dialog box appears.
4. Set the .PCG Contents parameter to Bank U-G.
To the right of this parameter, the To parameter will appear.
5. In the To parameter, select the bank to overwrite.

6. Press OK.
The Programs will be loaded into the selected bank.

Selecting the new sounds

Programs
1. Press the PROG button to enter Program Mode.
2. Press the Bank U-G button to select the new bank of Programs.
Alternatively, if you loaded into a different bank, press the appropriate Bank
button.
3. Use the VALUE inc/dec buttons, the VALUE dial, or the on-screen
Program Select popup to browse through the new sounds.

KRS-08 Programs require the factory preload sounds
The KRS-08 Programs use Drum Programs and Drum Kits from the factory
preload. If the factory banks have been changed, or are not loaded, then the
Programs will not sound correctly. If necessary, please first back up your
current sounds, and then re-load the factory sounds. The factory sounds are
stored in the files named PRELOAD.PCG and PRELOAD.KSC in the
FACTORY folder on the internal disk.
