1. What is Data Visualization?

Answer.Data visualization is the visual presentation of data or information.

The goal of data visualization is to communicate data or information clearly
and effectively to readers. Typically, data is visualized in the form of
a chart, infographic, diagram or map.

2. Enumerate and Describe the different types of Data Visualization techniques.

Answer.

 Line charts - Using a line chart is one of the most visually-appealing

ways to demonstrate change or impact over several periods. With a line
chart, you can add multiple data elements and compare their
performance during a selected time frame.

Bar charts - Similarly to line charts, bar charts are used to compare

different data elements and their performance over time

 Number charts - Whenever specific data stats play a major role in KPIs,

it would be best if you go with a number chart and percentages.
 Pie charts - To compare multiple metrics and assets, or illustrate
proportional comparisons, pick a pie chart. Information, presented in a
pie chart, was proven to be easier to read and understand.

Gauge charts - To represent a single data point or its relations to other

performance indicators, choose a gauge chart. For instance, it allows
showing the expanse ration and how it correlates with turning around
profit.

3. Compare and contrast Tableau , Google charts, Microsoft Power BI.

 Answer. Power BI comes at a lower price point than Tableau, but scaled features and
additional users will increase that price.
Tableau is built for data analysts, while Power BI is better suited to
a general audience that needs business intelligence to enhance
their analytics
Tableau= Tableauspecializes in making beautiful visualizations, but
much of their advertising is focused on corporate environments
with data engineers and bigger budgets.
Microsoft Power BI. = Power
BI uses the existing Microsoft systems like
Azure, SQL, and Excel to build data visualizations that don’t break
the bank.

side-by-side comparison of Google Chart Tools vs. Microsoft Power BI Desktop

based on preference data from user reviews. Google Chart Tools rates 4.2/5 stars with 500
reviews. By contrast, Microsoft Power BI Desktop rates 4.3/5 stars with 544 reviews. Each
product's score is calculated with real-time data from verified user reviews, to help you make
the best choice between these two options, and decide which one is best for your business
needs.
Similarities

Power BI and Tableau are both recognizable names in the

business intelligence space, but they may not be right for every
business.
