Proposed Title: The Effects of social media on the Buying Choices of Shoppers

Specific objectives: To find out the best social media platform preferred by the buyers
To help sellers on making their best promotional strategies to

To help sellers on pricing goods or services considering the effects
of social media on what they are offering

Research design: This study will use case study which is one of the most common
qualitative designs and is used to examine a person, group,
community or institution. In conducting research using case study,
the researcher may draw upon multiple sources of data, such as
observation, interviews and documents. All participants chosen
using this design must share a unifying factor, which means they
all must have a direct or indirect connection to the research
question or subject being studied. After collecting data, the
researcher will analyze it to identify common or prominent themes.
Respondents The respondents of the study are the students of

using social media as their main platform in buying products or
choosing thereon.
Research locale: The locale of the study is the Maryhill College Inc. of Lucena City.
It is a coastal highly urbanized city in the CALABARZON region
and is commonly grouped with the province of Quezon. This city
has a land area of 80.21 square meters or 30.97 square miles. Its
population as determined by the 2020 Census was 278,924. This
represented 1.72% of the total population of the CALABARZON
region. This is the chosen locale of the respondents because this is
the most convenient for them. Due to pandemic, they are not
allowed to go
to far places. Also, most of the students at the said school are
buyers using social media which is the main criteria for the
researchers to locate where the locale is.
Research instrument: The researchers will be using self-reported data which is survey
questionnaire. This type of instrument will allow us to gather all
the data we need in no much consuming time. The survey
questionnaire will be comprised of mixed standardized and
research made questions. The reason behind this is that, this will
allow the researchers to filter those answers they need the most in
coming up at a better conclusion. The researchers will also be
preparing the survey questionnaire via google forms for them to
make no unnecessary costs.
Data gathering Due to eh current situation, this study has limited
Procedure: resources and approaches in conducting this study. In process of
gathering information, this study collected data from survey
questionnaire, internet, existing studies, etc. Moreover, the
researcher conducted further checking of reliability and validity of
internet-based resources to perform literacy. In consideration and
applying the health protocols, the research instrument undergoes
through online platforms for it to be able to reach respondents. The
primary data was collected through survey questionnaire which
was comprised of those adopted questions from existing studies
and research made questions. The potential subjects were assessed
through informed consent as part of the recruitment process for the
actual data gathering procedure. In this part, the legal agreement of
consent between the researchers and respondents who participated
in the study was taken place. The partaking of the respondents may
last up to a week or two being the maximum. There will be no
forced participants to participate the study.
Statistical treatment: As soon as the researchers gathered the data, they were compiled,
assorted, organized and tabulated. They were subject to statistical
treatment in order to answer the questions proposed in the study.
The statistical tools employed were chi-square, t-test, correlations
and frequency distribution.
