I. Background

Math Clinic for Non-Numerate Pupils is one of the Mathematics Special Program
of San Enrique Central School. The objective of this program is to identify the Non-
Numerate pupils from Grades III to Grade IV. Non-Numerate pupils are pupils whose
average score in the Spencer Test or Four Fundamental Operations Test namely addition,
subtraction, multiplication and division is less than 50. Spencer Pre Test will be the bases
in identifying the non-numerate pupils for every grade level. The remedial teacher for every
grade level with the help of the Grade Coordinator are responsible in conducting this
program. This remedial program will be conducted for 30 min a day for four weeks or 20
days only.

II. Goal Target

Decrease the number of non-numerates from 33 to 15 from Grades III to Grade IV.

III. Objectives:
1. Identify non-numerate pupils
2. Prepare Mathematics Remedial Teaching Instructional Materials.
a. Multi Media Activities
b. Printed activities and exercises.
c. Printed Pre and Post Test
3. Organize Mathematics Remedial Teaching Committee that will serve as remedial teaching
teachers which is composed of Master Teachers as Grade Coordinators and Mathematics
Teacher as member for every grade level.
4. Prepare schedule for the simultaneous conduct of remedial teaching instructions from
Grade III to Grade IV.
