L ocated near the center of Texas activity in the Midland-Odessa area, the West Texas
Training Center is conveniently located in PETEX’s Production Training Facility on
the south campus of The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) in Odessa,
Texas and houses instructional and laboratory facilities, and a full-scale operational
lease facility in one large enclosed area.
This facility trains lease operators and technicians, drilling and measurement
personnel, and others associated with production operations on some of the most
common drilling, measurement, and production processes and equipment used today.
Future plans include additional measurement training facilities for both liquid and
gas measurement used in both production and pipeline operations.
