DATA MANAGEMENT

AND GOVERNANCE SPECIALIST

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

•Championing the adoption of Data Governance frameworks

and policies across the organisation

•Uplifting organizational data maturity across Data Quality,

Master Data, Meta Data and third-party planes

•Lead the Data Governance Committee to drive responsible

data usage across the organisation

•Drive the development and ongoing adoption of Data

Glossaries, Data Dictionaries and associated tools

•Engage with key stakeholders when procuring new

systems/data to ensure compliance with policies

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE

•Bachelor's degree in Business/Information Technology

preferred

•Experience contributing to Data Governance or Data

Management frameworks or policies in an enterprise setting

•Experience working across all aspects the information

lifecycle

•Experience with Data Management frameworks, such as

DAMA

•Be able to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions

in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

•Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to

communicate and persuade at all levels and thrive in a
cross-functional matrix environment

•Motivation to step up to the next role in your career

•Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-
technical addressees
BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS

•Provide a clear study and understanding of requirements

from data management prospective

•Able to build business reports and Key Performance

Indicators that represents valuable information to related
projects

•Creates and review data requirements documents

•Initiate business process and related governing polices

•Review and approve data related business requirements

DATA MANAGEMENT
•Produce functional requirements and solution end-to-end
database development in a BI environment

•Leading, collecting and analyzing business requirements

for multifunctional projects
•Create and adapt BI use cases to align with the Reporting,
Data & Analytics strategy
•Identifying conflicted business practices and integration
issues, suggesting alternative solutions
•Participating in requirements, gathering process for data
integration, data analytics and/or information delivery
solutions
•Conducting Data Management Maturity Assessment (DMM)
framework for data practices at DAMA, including: Data
Management Strategy, Data Governance and Data Quality.
•Ability to perform related Data Management general
principles, Data Manning, Data Quality, Data Governance,
Data Strategy and Data Warehousing

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science/ Computer
Engineering / Software Engineering.

YEARS & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE

•More than 5 years of relevant experience in a related
Industry or consulting firms.
•Experience related to Data architect, Data Management,
Data Strategy & Data Governance & DAMA Framework
