This document contains a grade 7 mathematics lesson plan that focuses on rational numbers and arranging them on a number line. The lesson plan outlines the content standards, learning competencies, objectives, materials, activities, examples, and assessment. Examples are provided to demonstrate that quotients from division are rational numbers and can be located on the real number line. Students will be given an exercise to arrange 10 rational numbers between -1 and 1 from least to greatest. The teacher will analyze student understanding and note performance data for each class section.

PERFORMANCE The learner is able to formulate challenging situations involving sets and real numbers and solve these in a variety of strategies. STANDARD LEARNING Arrange rational numbers on a number line COMPETENCY LEARNING At the end of the session, of the class should be able to: a.) Locate and Arrange numbers on the number line OBJECTIVES CONTENT NUMBERS AND NUMBER SENSE (M7NS-Ia-2) LEARNING MATERIALS Chalk, Chalk Board, Instructional materials, Etc. RESOURCES REFERENCE Grade 7 Mathematics Learners Module pp. 60-65 > Prayer > Greetings > Checking of Attendance ACTIVITY Continue discussion LEARNING ANALYSIS Continue discussion TASKS ABSTRACTION Consider the following examples and answer the questions that follow: a.7 ÷ 2 = 3 ½ , b.(-25) ÷ 4 = -6 ¼ c .(-6) ÷ (-12) = ½1.
1. Are quotients integers? Not all the time. Consider 10/7.
2. What kind of numbers are they? Quotients are rational numbers. 3. Can you represent them on a number line? Yes. Rational numbers are real numbers and therefore, they are found in the real number line. APPLICATION Exercise: Name 10 rational numbers that are greater than -1 but less than 1 and arrange them from least to greatest on the real number line? ASSESSMENT
