Lifeline in the Community
Over the past few months,
we have been busy in the
Community. We have had
the opportunity to speak at
numerous different churches,
be the community give back
recipient from Ladies Night Out,
and be at the Preschool Family
Safari
at Lake Tobias, to name a few events.
It certainly has been a busy time for
us, but we are so grateful for every
opportunity we receive to share
about Lifeline and all the positive
things we are doing.

Recently we were awarded the great news
that the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade
and turned the abortion decision back over to
each state to make their own decision. This both
excites me and grieves me. You may wonder
how I can have such conflicting thoughts and
feelings on this.
Here’s the sad truth, our hearts have not

And yet, there is still cause for celebration.
The states that have already put strict abortion
laws into place are seeing fewer abortions, more
lives saved. This is great news! Finally, we are
taking steps in the right direction. This is the
beginning of something amazing. This is also
an opportunity for the Church to continue to
stand up and be a voice for the voiceless. This is
an opportunity for the Church to be the hands
and feet of Jesus, to love on these men and
women who feel they have nowhere else to turn.
Pregnancy Center’s will mean even more now
than they have before. More men and women
will need help. Are we willing to help?
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew
you, before you were born I set you apart…”
– Jeremiah 1:5
As Christians, we proclaim life. We declare
that everyone “is knit together in their mother’s
womb.” Many have said they wouldn’t stop until
Roe v. Wade was overturned. Well, here we are.
And I ask you, what are you willing to do now?
How are you willing to help? When abortion
is ended, or even minimized, by default that
means more babies will be born. And that, my
friends, is cause for celebration! However, it
also means that more people are going to need
support. One of the biggest reasons women
have an abortion is because they cite economic
hardships of raising a child. Yes, having a
child(ren) is expensive. Yes, raising children is
not always easy. But there is support available
and people willing to help. So Church, are we
ready to open our arms and love on the men
and women who need us? Are we willing to be
united — Pregnancy Centers and Churches alike-
and work together and support one another as
we minister to those that inevitably will come
through our doors? Lives will be saved, so now
we have to work towards changing those lives!

What is an Intake?
As I reflect over
my journey from
a year ago when I
began at Lifeline as
the Client Services
Administrator, one
concept has become
very clear — God has
truly brought our
clients here to learn, grow and become
better versions of themselves. One of
the most rewarding components of my
job is when a client starts the process of
enrolling in our “Earn While You Learn”
program by visiting the center for his or
her “intake”. I feel so humbled to be able
to meet the client, sit down in one of our
classrooms and explain our programs
and resources. One client may be very
open and share his or her story with me
while another may be quiet and reserved;
however, I assure all the clients that
