Description of Project Area and Surrounding Environment ‘The quarry project with an applied area of 4.9949 hectares, is located along Agno River at Brey, Carmen. Access to the area is through the MeArthur Highway and dirt road below the Carmen concrete bridge which lead directly to the project site. The river banks are covered with clumps of cogon grasses, shrubs and undergrowths. The Agno River lies at the southem portion with the presence of residential built-ups across the river bank, C. REMARKS: The surrounding areas have been adversely affected by the deposition of sand materials left after the flooding of the river banks. Presence of illegal quarries is also noted in the area atthe time of site verification, ‘Annual rated capacity of aggregates extraction ~ 10,000 cu. m. / year D.
