In reference to Division Memorandum No. 020 s. 2019 entitled: Announcement of the members of the Committee on Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) this office announces the roles and responsibilities of the Chairperson and members of the said Committee. 2. The PRAISE committee shall be responsible in implementing the welfare and benefit programs in the division offices to include the granting of awards and incentives to teachers/employees who have rendered meritorious services or excellent performance. The division PRAISE committee shall formulate and establish the respective internal rules, policies and procedures to gover the conduct of activities which shall include the guidelines in evaluating the nominees and the mechanism for recognizing the awardees. The head of agency or authorized representative shall be responsible in overseeing the System's operation and the Human Resource Management Unit shall serve as the System's Secretariat. ‘The Chairperson has the responsibility to: b.1 Preside at all meetings of the PRAISE Committes b.2 Prepare the agenda of the PRAISE meatings b.3 Prepare and sign correspondence in the PRAISE’s name b.4 Appoint all subcommittees and designate chairpersons b.5 Work closely with the HR/HRD staff member to remain informed about the work of the Rewards and Recognition System in the conduct of its business b.6 Vote in case of ties b.7 Perform such other duties as are normally associated with the office of Chairperson ‘The PRAISE members have the responsibility to: * Gather and/or prepare dataldocuments and other information as the Reward and Recognition System may deem necessary for the conduct of ts business and completion of its mission. * Coordinate with other units/sections of the agency the arrangements for facilities or services needed by the Reward and Recognition System for the conduct of its business. ‘* Assist in the development, implempntation, monitoring and evaluation of the awards program.
