HOUR BUILDING
The commercial pilot license requires that a student has FLY-AWAYS FOR HOUR BUILDING
100 pilot in command or solo time. After completion of
the PPL and night rating, there will have been a total of
15 hours solo time completed. The remainder of 85 hours
are now completed in the hour building phase.
We recommend that students also start writing their
commercial pilot exams during this phase. However, for
the sake of keeping modules consistent, the
Commercial pilot books and exams are listed in the
Multi-engine IFR phase.
As there is no accurate way to anticipate where all the
students will fly to, or the amount of landings that a
student will do, the landing fees are excluded from the
