COOKING GUIDE
NOTE
COOKING METHOD
Place food in a metal, silicon or tempered glass baking pan with maximum 30 cm diameter. Leave enough
room for the flow of hot air around the food. You may also use aluminium foil or aluminium foil containers.
Consult the chart inside for guidelines regarding baked foods. If the baked food starts browning too quickly
BAKING
reduce the temperature or cover it with baking paper or aluminium foil.
Alternatively you can pre-heat the oven or use an extender ring to create more space between heating element
and food.
BROILING Place the food directly on the two-way rack. For very thick cuts of meats, turn the food at the halfway point.
Like roasting, broiling time may vary depending on cut, size, amount of fat, etc.
You can steam vegetables at the same time you cook your main dish by placing the vegetables in an aluminium
STEAMING foil pouch: add a few drops of water and seal the pouch.
You can also add a cup of water in the bottom pot, with savoury herbs and spices to steam fish or vegetables.
You can get the effect of deep-fried French fries without all the oil, simply by dipping potato strips in
polyunsatrated cooking oil, allow the excess oil to drain away and cook according to cooking guide.
FRYING
To make delicious fried chicken: dip chicken pieces in batter and then in cooking oil, drain excess oil and cook
according to chart provided

HINT - ROASTING
When roasting, increase the cooking time and reduce the temperature by approximately 10% when cooking marinated meats. For
larger pieces of meat, use the extender ring. Remember that cooking time may vary depending on cut size and degree of meat
tenderness desired. Consult the cooking guide for guidelines. Place a piece of kitchen foil at the bottom of the oven so it gathers excess
fat and enables the bowl to be cleaned more easily.
HINT - GRILL & BBQ
When barbecuing or grilling, ensure all items are placed on the high rack and the temperature is set between 220°C - 240°C. It is also
recommended to consider that frozen foods, such as burgers, sausages, etc., are likely to require a longer cooking time. To ensure an
even colour you may wish to turn your food during the grilling process.
